Fantasy Baseball Prospects: Rankings, Updates & Stashes (2025)

Hey, friends. Welcome to my weekly prospect report. The goal of this column is to give you the most fantasy-relevant prospect information throughout the last week, all in one place.

The format of this weekly prospect report will be by level, and we will go through players in order of their placement in my preseason prospect rankings. The next prospect rankings update will be in mid-to-late August.

Fantasy Baseball Prospect Report

I won’t hit on every prospect every week, but will focus on the most relevant prospects throughout the week and will follow up with other notable players. This article will not focus on any AAAA-type players or veterans in the Minors who have outlived their prospect status.

NOTE: Rookie status is determined by 130 at-bats or 50 innings pitched at the Major League level. All stats are up-to-date as of Sunday, June 22nd.

MLB Hitters

12. Jac Caglianone (1B, OF – KC)

  • 2024 College: .419/.544/.875 | 43 XBH, 35 HR, 4 SB
  • 2024 A+: .241/.302/.388 | 5.6 BB%, 20.6 K% | 12 XBH, 2 HR, 2 SB (29 games)
  • 2025 MILB: .322/.389/.593 | 10.5 BB%, 20.1 K% | 24 XBH, 15 HR, 2 SB
  • 2025 MLB (as of 6/22/25): .217/.266/.367 | 4.7 BB%, 20.3 K% | 5 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
  • Age: 22
  • This Week: 4/20 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
  • fScores: 100 fContact, 85 fDiscipline, 138 fPower, 76 fSpeed
  • Comp: Matt Olson/Bryce Harper-lite mash-up (without Harper’s speed)
  • Prime Skills: Massive power potential, so much so that Jac Caglianone only hit eight doubles in college. The plate skill gains Caglianone made in his final college season seem to have stuck, and the contact rate is hovering around 75% with some insane barrel and exit velocity numbers this season, as he’s rocking a 16.7% barrel rate, 27.8% line drive rate and 112.1 90th percentile exit velocity.
  • Player Notes: Caglianone finally mashed a couple of bombs this week, which will likely get him going at the Major League level.

MLB Pitchers

34. Jacob Misiorowski (SP – MIL)

  • 2024 AA: 97 1/3 IP | 16.1 K-BB%, 14.1 SwStr%, 30.7 CSW% | 3.33 ERA, 1.20 WHIP
  • 2025 AAA: 63 1/3 IP | 19.4 K-BB%, 14.7 SwStr%, 30.2 CSW% | 2.13 ERA, 1.09 WHIP
  • 2025 MLB (as of 6/22/25): 11 IP | 15.8 K-BB%, 13.2 SwStr%, 27.5 CSW% | 1.64 ERA, 0.55 WHIP
  • This Week: 5 IP | 8 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
  • Age: 23
  • Comp: Young Tyler Glasnow with worse control
  • ETA: Early 2025
  • fScores (pre-season): 108 fStuff, 88 fControl, 135 fERA (as a starter)
  • Prime Skills: Jacob Misiorowski has a killer fastball that has reached 103 miles per hour (MPH), and it’s at an odd arm angle (15.5% SwStr% on it in 2025), so it’s difficult to pick up with an elite slider in his pocket as well. He’s had some control issues, especially as a starter, but has seemed to have improved starting in the second half of last year. He has had marked improvement this season, just as many were about to give up on him as a starter.
  • Player Notes: It took 11 innings for Misiorowski to finally give up a hit in the Majors. Hia career success will be completely dependent on how effectively he can command his stuff and avoid walks.

87. Michael McGreevy (SP – STL)

  • 2024 AAA: 150 IP | 12.8 K-BB%, 9.2 SwStr%, 27 CSW% | 4.12 ERA, 1.41 WHIP
  • 2024 MLB: 23 IP | 18.6 K-BB%, 10 SwStr%, 29.3 CSW% | 1.96 ERA, 0.78 WHIP
  • 2025 AAA: 61 IP | 21.3 K-BB%, 10.1 SwStr%, 27.1 CSW% | 2.51 ERA, 1.20 WHIP
  • 2025 MLB (as of 6/22/25): 16 2/3 IP | 20 K-BB%, 9.3 SwStr%, 24.5 CSW% | 2.51 ERA, 1.20 WHIP
  • This Week: 5 IP | 5 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.80 ERA, 0.80 WHIP
  • Age: 22
  • ETA: Debuted
  • fScores: 92 fStuff, 123 fControl, 134 fERA
  • Comp: Logan Webb-lite
  • Prime Skills: Michael McGreevy has elite-level command and rides on a six pitch mix that heavily includes a dominant sinker (70.4% ground ball rate) and a brand new sweeper he’s been throwing 33% of the time this season with an 18.2% SwStr%, which plays much better than the slider he previously used. The fastball is also up from 92.5 miles per hour (MPH) last season to 94-95 this season.
  • Player Notes: McGreevy had another solid outing and should be permanently in the rotation at this point for the Cardinals.

AAA Hitters

43. Chase DeLauter (OF – CLE)

  • 2024 AA/AAA: .261/.341/.500 | 11.6 BB%, 13.4 K% | 18 XBH, 8 HR, 1 SB (39 games)
  • 2025 Season (as of 6/22/25): .269/.400/.484 | 18.3 BB%, 13.9 K% | 10 XBH, 5 HR, 1 SB (28 games)
  • This Week: 7/19 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
  • Age: 23
  • ETA: Mid 2025
  • fScores: 98 fContact, 116 fDiscipline, 94 fPower, 90 fSpeed
  • Comp: Hunter Pence (without the speed)/ lefty Matt Holliday mash-up
  • Prime Skills: Chase DeLauter has shown a really strong hit tool and has some unrealized power in his small sample size at the Minor League level. The pull power from his college days is tantalizing. Coming off injury, we just need to see some health from this doubles machine, but he’s only played 96 games in the last two seasons. Although he did hit 32 doubles in those 96 games.
  • Player Notes: DeLauter is healthy and is looking Major League ready, expect a call within the next couple of weeks.

Alex Freeland (SS – LAD)

  • Season: .273/.386/.461 | 15.7 BB% / 24.1 K% | 33 XBH, 10 HR, 13 SB
  • This Week: 9/26 | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
  • Notes: Alex Freeland is one of the few players on the Dodgers who actually might not be permanently blocked. Tommy Edman or Mookie Betts could easily move back to the outfield, as Michael Conforto has been pretty bad.

Nathan Church (OF – STL)

  • Season: .346/.401/.548 | 8.2 BB% / 8.7 K% | 20 XBH, 8 HR, 11 SB
  • This Week: 8/20 | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
  • Notes: Nathan Church has been on my radar for a while, but he had a pretty strong spring and has a ridiculous 91.1% contact% and 97% Z-contact% at AAA this season with slightly above average exit velocities. An elite hit tool with 50 grade power and 50/55 grade speed will play at the Major League level.

Robert Hassell III (OF – WSH)

  • Season: .309/.365/.459 | 8.1 BB% / 17.8 K% | 15 XBH, 6 HR, 11 SB
  • This Week: 9/18 | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 2 SB
  • Notes: Robert Hassell was sent back to the Minors this week and has been ridiculous in only four games after being demoted.

Jakob Marsee (OF – MIA)

  • Season: .224/.364/.376 | 15.6 BB% / 19.9 K% | 19 XBH, 7 HR, 39 SB
  • This Week: 9/26 | 4 XBH, 3 HR, 2 SB
  • Notes: Jakob Marsee is going on two years of terrible batting average on balls in play (BABIP) issues, mostly due to not hitting the ball hard enough. He has solid contact skills with a plus-plate approach and plus-speed. The hard-hit data, though, is below average and has not allowed him to maximize the rest of his skillset.

AAA Pitchers

6. Chase Burns (SP – CIN)

  • 2024 College: 100 IP | 191 Ks, 30 BBs | 2.70 ERA, 0.92 WHIP
  • 2025 A+/AA/AAA (as of 6/22/25): 66 IP | 31.4 K-BB%, 17.7 SwStr%, 35.2% CSW | 1.77 ERA, 0.77 WHIP
  • This Week: 7 IP | 7 Ks, 0 BBs | 1.29 ERA, 0.43 WHIP
  • Age: 21
  • ETA: Late 2025
  • fScores: 120 fStuff, 109 fControl, 134 fERA
  • Comp: Hunter Greene/Dylan Cease mash-up
  • Prime Skills: Chase Burns’ insane fastball/slider combo could be one of the best in baseball. He’s bigger than some of the other guys with this type of fastball/slider combo, like Jared Jones and Spencer Strider. He could also just be a better version of Jones. The fastball ranges from 98-102 miles per hour (MPH) with a ton of ride running an over 19 inverted movement (IVB), while his slider runs 87-89 as the primary swing-and-miss pitch. His curveball is also a plus-pitch.
  • Player Notes: Burns had another solid start at AAA this week and is now being promoted to the Majors to start versus the Yankees in what will be a very fun debut.

Logan Evans (SP – SEA)

  • 2025 Season (MILB): 33 2/3 IP | 20 K-BB%, 9.9 SwStr%, 30.9 CSW% | 4.01 ERA, 1.31 WHIP
  • This Week: 4 IP | 9 Ks, 1 BBs | 2.25 ERA, 1.25 WHIP
  • Notes: Logan Evans is only about two starts in the Majors from losing prospect eligibility. It’s nice to see this kind of strikeout stuff from him in a rough environment like the Pacific Coast League.

AA Hitters

69. George Lombard (AA – NYY)

  • 2024 A: .231/.338/.334 | 12.3 BB%, 22.9 K% | 32 XBH, 5 HR, 39 SB
  • 2025 A+/AA (as of 6/22/25): .257/.406/.385 | 17.7 BB%, 22.6 K% | 19 XBH, 3 HR, 24 SB
  • This Week: 6/23 | 4 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB
  • Age: 20
  • ETA: 2027
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Barry Larkin-lite
  • Prime Skills: George Lombard has a plus-plus plate approach with an average hit tool (75.2% contact%), but some extreme athleticism that hasn’t had a chance to play up yet (outside of the speed) since he’s been advanced aggressively age-to-level in a Cole Young-esque way. Lombard added some muscle to his 6-foot-2 frame this offseason, but it hasn’t resulted in much of a power uptick as of yet. He’s a doubles guy right now, but could grow into more power.
  • Player Notes: Lombard is starting to get into some power at AA, so keep an eye on this development.

72. Spencer Jones (OF – NYY)

  • 2024 AA: .259/.336/.452 | 9.9 BB%, 36.8 K% | 53 XBH, 17 HR, 25 SB
  • 2025 AA (as of 6/22/25): .268/.395/.586 | 16.8 BB%, 33.7 K% | 22 XBH, 14 HR, 10 SB
  • This Week: 8/16 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 2 SB
  • Age: 24
  • ETA: Early 2026
  • fScores: 87 fContact, 74 fDiscipline, 144 fPower, 142 fSpeed
  • Comp: Joey Gallo
  • Prime Skills: Spencer Jones is huge at 6-foot-6. He has ridiculous power potential with decent speed to boot. He has a ton of sneaky speed to go along with the huge power potential, but the swing has some massive holes in it and has gotten progressively worse (73.2% contact rate in 2023, 61.6% in 2024 and 58.6% in 2025). He changed his stance this season, which has resulted in a better eye, but an even worse hit tool, as he has this very open and crouched stance now.
  • Player Notes: Jones is back, so let’s see if the contact rates can improve as he starts to heat up for the second half.

83. Sal Stewart (2B, 3B – CIN)

  • 2024 A+: .279/.391/.454 | 14.8 BB%, 16.9 K% | 32 XBH, 8 HR, 10 SB (80 games)
  • 2025 AA (as of 6/22/25): .324/.386/.485 | 7.1 BB%, 15.7 K% | 25 XBH, 7 HR, 13 SB
  • This Week: 12/28 | 4 XBH, 3 HR, 1 SB
  • Age: 21
  • ETA: Mid 2026
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Spencer Steer/Nicholas Castellanos mash-up with Juan Yepez mechanics
  • Prime Skills: Sal Stewart is big and should develop more power. For now, he has a fantastic plate approach and hit tool for his age. He might end up moving off the position because of his size. He has a good hit tool (81% contact rate), great plate skills and low 20s home run power potential.
  • Player Notes: Stewart is so consistent as a hitter that he may not have the most exciting fantasy profile. He will be a stud in points leagues, especially in head-to-head formats, where you want the consistency he brings.

109. Hector Rodriguez (OF – CIN)

  • 2024 A/A+: .293/.343/.495 | 5.6 BB%, 18.8 K% | 51 XBH, 16 HR, 18 SB
  • 2025 AA (as of 6/22/25): .317/.378/.514 | 8.9 BB%, 12.6 K% | 25 XBH, 10 HR, 6 SB
  • This Week: 17/30 | 6 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB
  • Age: 21
  • ETA: Early 2026
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Wilyer Abreu/Michael Harris II mash-up
  • Prime Skills: Hector Rodriguez has a fire hydrant build as a 200-pound, 5-foot-11 player with a short, quick swing. He has a solid hit tool with a much-improved plate approach this season and above-average power and speed tools. He has a nice 20/20-type profile and a gap hitter profile that can boom in Cincinnati. He’s good enough against lefties to avoid the strongside platoon risk many lefties face.
  • Player Notes: Rodriguez had his biggest week of the month after a kind of slower June. There are no split issues here as Rodriguez has a solid 50 hit tool to go along with a 50 plate approach, 55 power and 45/50 speed.

Joshua Baez (OF – STL)

  • Season: .316/.407/.544 | 12.7 BB% / 23.3 K% | 25 XBH, 10 HR, 26 SB
  • This Week: 6/13 (4 BBs) | 4 XBH, 3 HR, 2 SB
  • Notes: I’ve liked Joshua Baez since the Cardinals drafted him in 2021. He had a very strong 2022 season, but a rough 2023 and 2024 kind of made him fall off the prospect rankings table — until this season.

AA Pitchers

49. Robby Snelling (SP – MIA)

  • 2024 AA/AAA: 115 1/3 IP | 13.8 K-BB%, 12.2 SwStr%, 28.9 CSW% | 5.15 ERA, 1.52 WHIP
  • 2025 AA (as of 6/22/25): 60 1/3 IP | 19 K-BB%, 12.5 SwStr%, 29.6 CSW% | 4.18 ERA, 1.31 WHIP
  • This Week: 6 IP | 7 Ks, 2 BBs | 1.50 ERA, 1.17 WHIP
  • Age: 21
  • ETA: Late 2025
  • fScores: 102 fStuff, 97 fControl, fERA 107
  • Comp: Jesus Luzardo-lite
  • Prime Skills: Robby Snelling’s 3/4 arm-slot helps create a lot of deception between his fastball and slider, which he repurposed this year. He also improved his change-up. He’s a three-pitch lefty with an above-average fastball, a good change-up and a stellar breaking pitch with a knack for avoiding hard contact. Snelling was only hitting 93 on the fastball last year, but it’s up to 95-97 this year. We forget how young he was in 2023 when he first broke out. His change-up is also up a couple of ticks from 86 MPH last year to 88-89 this year. The slider is up to an average of about 83 MPH, and that’s where the majority of his strikeouts seem to come from, but he does have some issues in a reverse split against lefties this season, oddly enough.
  • Player Notes: Snelling has been pretty bad in his last few starts until his last time out. Hopefully, this gets him back on track.

78. Carlos Lagrange (SP – NYY)

  • 2024 CPX/A: 21 IP | 7 K-BB%, 11.4 SwStr%, 30.1 CSW% | 6.86 ERA, 1.62 WHIP
  • 2025 A+/AA (as of 6/22/25): 57 IP | 26.9 K-BB%, 16.7 SwStr%, 35.4 CSW% | 4.42 ERA, 1.14 WHIP
  • This Week: 5 1/3 IP | 12 Ks, 2 BBs | 1.69 ERA, 0.94 WHIP
  • Age: 22
  • ETA: Mid 2026
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Joe Musgrove with more velocity
  • Prime Skills: Carlos Lagrange improved his command significantly this season, which made him a completely different pitcher, especially as a 6-foot-7 beast who can touch 101 MPH on a fastball that is complemented by a hard vertical breaker and a sweeper. Righties can’t even touch Lagrange as he has a 38% K-BB rate against them, but lefties do a little more damage (.723 OPS). His walk rate against lefties increases by around 8%.
  • Player Notes: Lagrange was promoted to AA and put up a killer third start at the level this week.

84. Jonah Tong (SP – NYM)

  • 2024 A/A+/AA: 113 IP | 24.1 K-BB%, 14.9 SwStr%, 31.1 CSW | 3.03 ERA, 1.17 WHIP
  • 2025 AA (as of 6/22/25): 67 IP | 29.5 K-BB%, 16.1 SwStr%, 34.1 CSW | 1.75 ERA, 0.91 WHIP
  • This Week: 12 2/3 IP (2 starts) | 16 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.71 ERA, 0.39 WHIP
  • Age: 21
  • ETA: Mid 2026
  • fScore: 103 fStuff, 88 fControl, 118 fERA
  • Comp: Jared Jones-lite
  • Prime Skills: Jonah Tong has some tricky IVB movement on a sinking mid-90s fastball (hitting 95-96 MPH now) and a big curve that drops right in on hitters from a high over the top arm slot from a smaller 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame. He also pairs these with a decent back-pocket change-up and a hard vertical slider to bridge between the fastball and curve.
  • Player Notes: While I’ve expressed concern about Tong’s over-the-top delivery and lack of horizontal movement in his pitches, he continues to dominate at least in the minors. The command has been a non-issue this year.

98. Tink Hence (SP – STL)

  • 2024 AA: 79 2/3 IP | 25.9 K-BB%, 16.3 SwStr%, 31.2 CSW% | 2.71 ERA, 1.07 WHIP
  • 2025 A (as of 6/22/25): 15 IP | 17.5 K-BB%, 12.9 SwStr%, 25.9 CSW% | 1.20 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
  • This Week: 4 1/3 IP | 8 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.23 WHIP
  • Age: 22
  • ETA: Late 2025
  • fScores (pre-season): 108 fStuff, 97 fControl, 136 fERA
  • Comp: Dylan Cease
  • Prime Skills: Tink Hence has some serious ride on his fastball that averages in the mid/high 90s. Hitters swing under it a lot. The slider is pretty sick, though, and to counter the riding fastball, hitters swing over it a lot. The change-up is also a very good pitch. As per the above numbers, Hence is one of the better pitchers on a per-inning rate in the Minors. He is small for the position and has dealt with injuries the last couple of years, including the beginning of this year.
  • Player Notes: Hence tag-teamed the relief core for a no-hitter this week in his first week back in AA action post-injury.

Lucas Gordon (SP – CWS)

  • 2025 Season: 67 1/3 IP | 20 K-BB%, 16 SwStr%, 30 CSW% | 3.74 ERA, 1.16 WHIP
  • This Week: 6 IP | 9 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.17 WHIP
  • Notes: Lucas Gordon has some good strikeout stuff with a killer change-up and curveball combo, but does run getting hit up a little above the ordinary and only has an 88-90 MPH fastball. This was the athletic lefty’s AA debut.

Henry Baez (SP – SD)

  • 2025 Season: 70 IP | 16.6 K-BB%, 10.8 SwStr%, 26.8 CSW% | 2.06 ERA, 1.04 WHIP
  • This Week: 5 2/3 IP | 10 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.53 WHIP
  • Notes: Henry Baez is a bigger righty who runs kind of a Jordan Hicks-like arsenal with a high 90s fastball, 97 MPH sinker (his best pitch) with a 50 grade curve and splitter which was super dominant this last week, leading to the increased strikeout rate from his normal rate of under a strikeout per inning. He’s already on the 40-man roster.

Mitch Bratt (SP – TEX)

  • 2025 Season: 62 2/3 IP | 26.2 K-BB%, 14 SwStr%, 30.8 CSW% | 2.15 ERA, 1.07 WHIP
  • This Week: 5 IP | 9 Ks, 0 BBs | 1.80 ERA, 1.40 WHIP
  • Notes: Mitch Bratt is becoming a Fantasy Aceball favorite. He’s underrated in the prospect world.

2024 Fantasy Baseball Closers Depth Charts Handcuffs

A+ Hitters

51. Colt Emerson (2B, SS – SEA)

  • 2024 A/A+: .263/.393/.376 | 14.9 BB%, 17.3 K% | 22 XBH, 4 HR, 15 SB
  • 2025 A+ (as of 6/22/25): .267/.372/.428 | 13.1 BB%, 17.2 K% | 21 XBH, 7 HR, 5 SB
  • This Week: 10/21 | 6 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
  • Age: 19
  • ETA: Late 2026
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Bigger Brendan Donovan with more natural talent and athleticism
  • Prime Skills: Colt Emerson has a great hit tool for his age and plate skills for a big lefty who is still developing; also has some solid wheels. He was playing Single-A ball as a 17-year-old and is skinny with a ton of room to build on his frame for power as he moves up levels. Right now, he’s all doubles power (led the Arizona Fall League with nine doubles). Has time to develop that into homer power (which is easier said than done when Seattle is your home park). The hit tool is plus, though (50/60 grade), with an 80.9% contact rate.
  • Player Notes: I’ve had worries about the lack of power (including doubles) with Emerson this year, but this week may have been his season breakout. He has a plus-hit tool and plus-plate approach; we have just been waiting for the power to break out from the subpar numbers he has had to date.

Luis Suisbel (3B – SEA)

  • Season: .278/.383/.512 | 12.3 BB% / 23.9 K% | 23 XBH, 12 HR, 3 SB
  • This Week: 5/18 | 5 XBH, 5 HR, 1 SB
  • Notes: Luis Suisbel is a bit underrated because the Mariners’ system is stacked, but he has 25-30 homer potential as a switch-hitter at the hot corner.

Esmerlyn Valdez (1B, OF – PIT)

  • Season: .319/.400/.625 | 10.5 BB% / 23.5 K% | 38 XBH, 19 HR, 2 SB
  • This Week: 11/24 | 8 XBH, 4 HR, 0 SB
  • Notes: Esmerlyn Valdez isn’t necessarily old for the level as a 21-year-old. He’s proven to be too good for High-A and should be in AA soon, despite a subpar contact rate in what below the surface might appear like a Deyvison De Los Santos season.

A+ Pitchers

Ryan Johnson (SP – LAA)

  • 2025 Season (MILB): 31 1/3 IP | 23.8 K-BB%, 16.5 SwStr%, 32.5 CSW% | 2.30 ERA, 1.09 WHIP
  • This Week: 7 IP | 7 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.29 WHIP
  • Notes: Ryan Johnson started the season with the Angels in the bullpen after being a first-round comp pick by them last season. He was sent to the Minors to stretch out and is way too good for High-A. He should be in AA or AAA. It is weird to see the Angels not be more aggressive.

T.J. Nichols (SP – TB)

  • 2025 Season: 64 1/3 IP | 27.6 K-BB%, 15.1 SwStr%, 33.1 CSW% | 3.50 ERA, 1.03 WHIP
  • This Week: 6 IP | 9 Ks, 2 BBs | 1.50 ERA, 0.83 WHIP
  • Notes: T.J. Nichols has made this list twice this season now; maybe three times. He’s been great all season, outside of some inconsistencies in late May, and should be promoted to AA soon.

Single-A Hitters

Sammy Stafura (OF – CIN)

  • Season: .271/.382/.441 | 13 BB% / 24.9 K% | 25 XBH, 4 HR, 21 SB
  • This Week: 8/22 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB
  • Notes: Slammin’ Sammy Stafura is on a 16-game hitting streak, with a hit in every game in June so far, posting 10 of his extra-base hits and nine stolen bases this month alone.

Connor Hujsak (OF – TB)

  • Season: .249/.319/.405 | 8.9 BB% / 24.8 K% | 23 XBH, 5 HR, 17 SB
  • This Week: 11/29 | 8 XBH, 2 HR, 4 SB
  • Notes: Connor Hujsak is old for the level at 23. He was a 13th-rounder out of Mississippi State last year, but one can not deny how good he was this week.

Single-A Pitchers

Kash Mayfield (SP – SD)

  • 2025 Season: 28 1/3 IP | 30.7 K-BB%, 16 SwStr%, 33.9 CSW% | 3.49 ERA, 0.95 WHIP
  • This Week: 3 IP | 8 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.33 WHIP
  • Notes: Kash Mayfield is not getting extended run or build-up, but he’s been dominant in the three-inning outings the Padres have been giving him this year.

Rookie League Hitters

124. Tyson Lewis (SS – CIN)

  • 2025 CPX (as of 6/22/25): .350/.387/.524 | 4.5 BB%, 22.5 K% | 8 XBH, 3 HR, 11 SB (24 games)
  • This Week: 7/22 | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
  • Age: 19
  • ETA: 2028
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Gunnar Henderson-lite with worse plate skills
  • Prime Skills: Tyson Lewis is an athletic freak that we have heard a lot about from everyone out in Arizona, especially after some monster exit velocities he has put up with a 119.4 max exit velocity. At 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, he has a similar build to a lefty Arjun Nimmala and potentially greater upside if he can keep cranking out exit velocities as high as his max. He has a powerful lefty swing with great wheels, but the hit tool (70% contact rate) and plate skills (15.8% SwStr%) grade out as slightly below average.
  • Player Notes: The contact rates have been subpar, and we would like to see more walks from the profile, but he has shown power and speed thus far. I’m excited to get a look when he’s in Daytona.

145. Jhonny Level (SS – SF)

  • 2024 DSL: .275/.393/.517 | 14 BB%, 16.7 K% | 22 XBH, 10 HR, 18 SB
  • 2025 CPX (as of 6/22/25): .295/.385/.527 | 12.8 BB%, 16 K% | 15 XBH, 7 HR, 11 SB
  • This Week: 6/17 (6 BBs) | 3 XBH, 3 HR, 2 SB
  • Age: 18
  • ETA: 2028
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Asdrubal Cabrera/Francisco Lindor-lite mash-up
  • Prime Skills: Jhonny Level is a switch-hitting fire hydrant type shortstop at 5-foot-10 with a plus-plate approach. He has a good hit tool on both sides of the plate with a lot of pre-swing hand movement ala many late-90s/early-2000s hitters. The power is mostly coming from the left side of the plate, but it’s plus from that side, and he has some wheels to boot.

DSL Hitters

Edgar Montero (SS – ATH)

  • Season: .383/.508/.745 | 21.3 BB% / 19.7 K% | 8 XBH, 4 HR, 3 SB (14 games)
  • This Week: 6/15 | 4 XBH, 4 HR, 1 SB
  • Notes: Edgar Montero is an 18-year-old switch-hitting shortstop. He’s been impressive in his second stint in the Dominican Summer League and is a name to watch as he transitions to the state side with much better (but still not great) contact rates and more walks than strikeouts to date.
