Tuesday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Hunter Brown (HOU) vs. CLE
Hunter Brown is an ace, and he thrives at home. According to FanGraphs, in 130.2 innings at home since last year, Brown has had a 2.55 ERA, 3.16 xFIP, 1.04 WHIP, 9.0 BB% and 29.1 K%.
Brown has a plus matchup and sweet betting info tonight. The Guardians are tied for 25th in wRC+ (91) with a 21.7 K% versus righties and tied for 26th in wRC+ (85) with a 21.6 K% on the road in 2025. Cleveland was also 30th in wRC+ (66) with a 24.1 K% in the previous 30 days. As a result, the Astros are -206, and the game’s total is 7.0 runs.
Chris Bassitt (TOR) at CWS
Chris Bassitt is a solid-if-unspectacular starter. In 18 starts spanning 100 innings this year, Bassitt has had the following stats.
- 4.32 ERA
- 3.85 xERA
- 3.60 xFIP
- 3.64 SIERA
- 1.39 WHIP
- Eight wins
- Six quality starts
- 26.5 CSW%
- 97 stuff+
- 104 location+
- 99 pitching+
Bassitt’s ERA is unlucky relative to his ERA estimators. Still, his ERA estimators, plate discipline numbers and pitch modeling aren’t impressive. Fortunately, Bassitt has a tasty matchup tonight.
The White Sox are 29th in wRC+ (79) with a 22.5 K% versus righties and 28th in wRC+ (83) with a 21.8 K% at home this year. Chicago was also 27th in wRC+ (81) with a 25.4 K% in the previous 30 days. Thus, the Blue Jays are -176, and the game’s total is 8.5 runs, making Bassitt an appealing SP2 in all game types at DraftKings and a viable GPP choice at FanDuel.
Jose Soriano (LAA) vs. TEX
Jose Soriano has had a few blow-up starts this year, including coughing up eight earned runs in 4.0 innings on June 17. Still, Soriano’s recent numbers are outstanding. He’s had the following stats in his previous five starts spanning 31.2 innings.
- 2.84 ERA
- 2.22 xFIP
- 2.58 SIERA
- 1.04 WHIP
- Two wins
- Four quality starts
- 7.9 BB%
- 31.0 K%
- 15.3 SwStr%
- 33.7 CSW%
- 96 stuff+
- 110 location+
- 106 pitching+
Soriano has a cushy matchup and adequate betting info tonight. The Rangers are tied for 25th in wRC+ (91) with a 21.4 K% versus righties and 23rd in wRC+ (88) with a 21.8 K% on the road this season. Finally, the Angels are slight underdogs (EVEN), and the game’s total is 8.0 runs.

Suggested Lineup Stacks
Didier Fuentes is taking his lumps in the Majors after tallying a 4.81 ERA across nine starts and three levels in the minors this year. He has a 9.00 ERA, 6.83 xERA, 4.88 xFIP, 4.69 SIERA and 1.83 WHIP in three starts for the Braves. Fuentes has allowed a .435 wOBA to 26 lefties and a .374 wOBA to 32 righties through three starts, making all of the A’s stackable tonight.
- Road (Sutter Health Park)
- Game Total/Moneyline: 10.0 Runs/ATL -110
The Braves will get a pick-me-up from playing in the Athletics’ temporary minor-league home. Per Baseball Savant, Sutter Health Park is tied for the highest park factor for runs (125) this season. Unsurprisingly, Jeffrey Springs has struggled at home. He has a 4.73 ERA and 4.83 xFIP in 40 innings at home this season. Atlanta’s offense can light up the scoreboard tonight.

Marcell Ozuna: 7.5 Fantasy Points – Higher
Ozuna’s .335 wOBA and 114 wRC+ are above-average marks. Yet, his .377 expected wOBA (xwOBA) indicates he’s been rather unlucky this year. He’ll benefit from hitting at Sutter Health Park tonight. Additionally, Springs has ceded a .325 wOBA to 145 right-handed batters at home this year.
