When preparing for your fantasy football drafts, knowing which players to target and others to avoid is important. The amount of information available can be overwhelming, so a great way to condense the data and determine players to draft and others to leave for your leaguemates is to use our expert consensus fantasy football rankings compared to fantasy football average draft position (ADP). In this way, you can identify players the experts are willing to reach for at ADP and others they are not drafting until much later than average. Let’s dive into a few of the best fantasy football draft values on each of the top commissioner sites.

J.J. McCarthy (QB – MIN) – ADP 123.2 | QB21
While he didn’t have Justin Jefferson for the Week 1 preseason matchup, McCarthy played well. Furthermore, he was productive in the lone preseason game last year. Yet, that’s not why I have high hopes for him in 2025. Minnesota has an excellent set of weapons, as Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and T.J. Hockenson form one of the top trios in the NFL. Furthermore, the Vikings improved their offensive line by adding Donovan Jackson, Will Fries, and Ryan Kelly this offseason. Don’t be surprised if McCarthy has a Patrick Mahomes-lite sophomore-year breakout.
Kenneth Walker III (RB – SEA) – ADP 42.5 | RB16
Unfortunately, Walker missed a career-high six games last season because of injury. Yet, he had an outstanding year when healthy. The former Michigan State star was the RB12 on a points-per-game basis, averaging 16.5 PPR fantasy points per outing. Furthermore, Walker posted a career-high 4.6% rushing touchdown rate, totaling seven scores in 11 games. More importantly, he set career highs in receptions (46) and targets (54) despite missing significant time with injuries. Don’t be surprised if Walker is even more involved in the passing game under new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.

Josh Downs (WR – IND) | ECR: 93/ADP: 109
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs has exceeded expectations during his NFL career, but it’s gone unnoticed by those at ESPN. Despite finishing as the WR43 and WR34 in his first two seasons, Downs was recently being drafted as the WR62 on ESPN.
Just last month, Downs was the 147th overall player in their PPR rankings, going in the same range as New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Kyle Williams, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Cedric Tillman and Los Angeles Rams backup running back Blake Corum.
Downs’ ADP has surged over the past month, with Downs now being ranked as the 109th overall player on ESPN’s platform. That’s an improvement on their part, but that’s still 16 spots lower than his FantasyPros ECR. You may not get the same return on investment as you could a month ago, but the Colts’ wide receiver is still a value at his current ranking.

Darnell Mooney (WR – ATL) – ADP 1110.7 | WR49
While fantasy players should have high hopes for Drake London in 2025, don’t forget about Mooney. He won’t be a league winner and finish the season inside the top-24 wide receivers. Yet, the veteran is vastly underrated, ranking outside the top-48 wide receivers in ADP after finishing last year as the WR31, averaging 12.1 PPR fantasy points per game, totaling a career-high five receiving touchdowns. According to Fantasy Points Data, Mooney ranked inside the top 36 wide receivers in air-yard share (33%), first-read target share (26.2%), and deep targets (17).
Tucker Kraft (TE – GB) – ADP 1118.5 | TE14
Kraft was the TE10 last year, averaging 9.6 PPR fantasy points per game, leading the Packers in receiving touchdowns (seven). Yet, the veteran could be even better this season. According to Fantasy Points Data, Kraft ranked 26th in target per route run rate (17%) among 36 tight ends with at least 40 targets last year. However, he finished seventh in yards per route run (1.9) and first in yards after the catch per reception (9.38). Don’t be surprised if Kraft leads all tight ends in receiving touchdowns this season.
