Everyone wants value at every draft pick in fantasy football. Even if you’re sitting at the sixth overall pick in the draft, the excitement of a player ranked fourth overall falling two spots makes us feel like we won the draft after one first-round pick.
Finding value in the right places is indeed the key to a good draft and setting up our teams for success, but it just won’t happen with every pick. This is why it’s important to recognize the tendencies of the site on which you are drafting and where value can be found throughout a fantasy football draft.

Today, we’re continuing our monthly series that will dive into fantasy football draft values on Fantrax that hold tremendous value in drafts right now based on FantasyPros’ expert consensus rankings (ECR).
With the NFL regular season approaching, depth charts and average draft position (ADP) are starting to take shape. As we approach the end of summer, these numbers and draft position spots will inevitably move (sometimes drastically), but it’s our job as fantasy football managers to find value whenever we draft. While every draft is unpredictable with twists and turns, trends and news out of training camps can lead to ADPs rising and falling consistently across different fantasy sites.
As the news starts to come in like a flood this summer, we must look past the noise and find the signal, focusing on what is relevant to fantasy football, particularly in terms of ADP. One site gaining popularity in fantasy football is Fantrax.
Best Fantasy Football Draft Values: Fantrax Leagues
Let’s look at the best fantasy football draft values you can find right now, according to the current Fantrax ADP. Below are four PPR fantasy football draft values on Fantrax. These may not be the same names after games kick off, but for now, drafters can get a steal with these four players.
Jalen Hurts (QB – PHI) | Fantrax ADP: 42/ECR: 35.8
On most fantasy football sites, you have to grab Jalen Hurts by the end of the third round if you want to secure his services in 2025. That’s not the case on Fantrax. He is lasting until the middle of the fourth round in 12-team leagues, and into the early fifth round in 10-team leagues. That’s a significant discount on Fantrax, where wide receivers are pushed up.
Hurts is one of the “big five” fantasy quarterbacks for a reason. While he may have only had 18 passing touchdowns and 2,900 yards in 15 games last season, he rushed for 650 yards and 14 touchdowns. There is no reason to think the Eagles’ rushing and goal-line philosophy will change this season, making Hurts one of the most valuable dual-threat quarterbacks.
Hurts was second in fantasy points per dropback and fourth in yards per attempt in 2024. If the Eagles are forced to air it out more in 2025 because of a harder schedule and a slight dip in their defense, this ADP of 42 will look silly by the end of the year.
D’Andre Swift (RB – CHI) | ADP: 74/ECR: 59.5
With the NFL season only about two weeks away, there sure seems to be a lot to work out with the Chicago Bears’ running back situation. D’Andre Swift is the presumed lead back and can play on early downs and third downs, be involved in the passing game and have a goal-line role. Roschon Johnson was the primary backup, but he has dealt with a foot injury and is rumored to be on the roster bubble. Seventh-round rookie Kyle Monangai has performed well, but doesn’t seem to be pressing anyone for their job.
The Bears also seem to be a part of every running back rumor from Brian Robinson Jr. to Royce Freeman. Travis Homer will primarily be a special teams player and is not a competitor in the running hierarchy. That leads us back to Swift, who seems to have the safest, most reliable role among the running backs, at least at the end of the third week of August. He could have a larger role than we initially expected if the Bears don’t make any more moves, and he is going at a massive discount on Fantrax.
Swift is going after round six in 12-team leagues on Fantrax. That might be partially due to the platform’s PPR scoring setting, but Swift is a serious buy on that site.
David Njoku (TE – CLE) | ADP: 97/ECR: 87.5
If he doesn’t already, David Njoku needs to have the label of “quarterback proof” stuck onto his name. In just 11 games in 2024, Njoku put up 505 yards and five touchdowns. He was targeted 97 times in those games. That was more targets than George Kittle saw in 16 contests last year. He was sixth in total targets at the position despite missing six games. The fantasy football world breathed a collective sigh of relief when Joe Flacco was recently named the Cleveland Browns starter. Njoku has shown he can thrive with almost anyone.
Njoku’s last healthy season (when Flacco started for much of it) was in 2023 and showed what’s possible. In 16 games, Njoku caught 81 out of 123 targets for 882 yards and six touchdowns. The only serious pass-catching threat to Njoku on the Cleveland Browns right now is Jerry Jeudy. There have been rumors about the Browns starting two tight ends and lining up rookie Harold Fannin across from Njoku, but Njoku has back-to-back seasons of a 24% target share, so his place among the share of targets is safe.
Chris Godwin (WR – TB) | ADP: 113/ECR: 93.3
There are certain things we know about the Chris Godwin situation. We know he broke his ankle (shattered it, actually) in October and has had a long rehab since. We know he is going to start the season on the 53-man roster, although not play until October. This caused another thing we know — that his ADP has cratered on most fantasy football sites. And the last thing we know is that Godwin is a target monster when healthy.
Godwin will be healthy after the first month of the season, which has been baked into his draft price on most sites. But drafters are getting a massive discount on Godwin on Fantrax. Right now, the difference between the expert consensus ranks and Fantrax ADP is about 20 spots. While it’s likely that rookie Emeka Egbuka plays very well in Godwin’s absence, it’s unlikely he renders Godwin completely obsolete.
Right now, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are without Godwin and receiver Jalen McMillan after his preseason neck injury. Godwin will be back before McMillan, it seems, and he will make up the full three-wide receiver set for Tampa Bay. And you can draft him as a third or fourth option on your bench heading into late August drafts on Fantrax.
