The main DFS slate on DraftKings isn’t as large as it typically is on a Sunday, including just six games that begin at 11:35 a.m. ET. FanDuel has a slate that starts at that time. However, it includes 11 games. I’m going to keep the recommendations below to the six games that are available to both.

Sunday’s Top MLB DFS Picks & Player Props
Sunday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings (8/3)
- Yesterday was a slate full of aces. That’s not the case today. This slate has some intriguing options, but they also each have questions. The most upside on the slate belongs to Jacob Misiorowski. That’s because he leads starting pitchers with a 36.4% strikeout rate. Washington has been difficult to strike out this season, but they have 23.2% of the time over the last month. This is tied with the highest price we’ve seen from him yet.
- Luis Gil is making his season debut. He was able to reach 75 pitches in his last rehab assignment, so we shouldn’t need to worry about much of a pitch count limitation. When we last saw Gil, he was striking out batters at a 26.8% rate and winning the American League Rookie of the Year.
- Since moving to the starting rotation, Joey Cantillo has struck out 27 batters in only 21.2 innings. He gets to take advantage of a renovated Twins’ lineup. If you’re looking for an affordable option, he could deliver with that matchup.

- No one has had a better offense since the start of June than the Toronto Blue Jays. They are especially tough in home games, where they have a 121 wRC+, which is the second-best in baseball at home. The opposing pitcher against them today is Seth Lugo.
- If you can find the money, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette are always options. Guerrero is a slightly better option against left-handed pitchers, but that’s a nitpick. He still has an .834 OPS against right-handed pitchers. Bichette has a wRC+ of 165 over the past month.
- The batter that leads the Blue Jays in wRC+ over the past month is Joey Loperfido. He has five extra-base hits in 20 games, including three home runs. All of his extra-base hits have come against right-handed pitchers.
- Addison Barger is one of the breakout players of 2025. He has hit 15 of his 16 home runs against right-handed pitchers. That equates to an elite mark of a .876 OPS against right-handed pitchers.

- The Cleveland Guardians’ offense has been back to league average for the past month. They are right on it with a wRC+ of 100. Today, they get to take on Simeon Woods Richardson. While they do not have extensive track records, many of the Guardians’ hitters have already had success against him.
- Steven Kwan was not traded. It’s not because he hasn’t been performing. Over his last 14 games, he has 15 runs, three home runs and nine RBI. While he is only 1-for-5 against Woods Richardson in his career, that one hit was a home run.
- Jose Ramirez continues to be one of the premier offensive options in all of baseball. Over the past 30 days, he has eight home runs, 11 stolen bases and is batting .287. However, somewhat shockingly, he is 0-for-10 against Woods Richardson in his career.
- Two more players who don’t have extensive histories against Woods Richardson, but have had success, are Kyle Manzardo and B0 Naylor. Manzardo is 3-for-4 against him in his career with a home run. He has hit five home runs over the past month. Naylor is only 1-for-4 against Woods Richardson in his career, but that hit was a home run.

Core Studs
- Willy Adames has settled into his new home in San Francisco. He has seven home runs over the past 28 days. That comes with a .997 OPS. You can only use him against right-handed pitchers, though, like Frankie Montas today.
- Another player who is usable against right-handed pitchers is Trent Grisham. He gets a tougher matchup against Edward Cabrera. However, Grisham has 16 of his 19 home runs against right-handed pitchers with a .908 OPS.
- Bobby Witt Jr. has a matchup today with Chris Bassitt. While he can hit against left-handed pitchers with a .329 batting average, if you want power from Witt, it comes against right-handed pitchers. All 16 of his home runs have come against right-handed pitching.
Value Plays/Punts
- The Brewers were close to being a suggested lineup stack. One player who continues to be undervalued relative to performance is Andrew Vaughn. He has six home runs, 24 RBI and a 1.220 OPS as a Brewer.
- Cedric Mullins has had an odd reverse split going all season. As a left-handed batter, he has continued to perform better against left-handed pitchers (.866 OPS) than right-handed pitchers (.686 OPS). Today, he faces rookie left-handed pitcher Carson Whisenhunt.
- It didn’t take long for Mike Yastrzemski to make his presence felt with his new team, hitting a home run in his first at-bat. Unsurprisingly, it came off a right-handed pitcher. He has a .769 OPS against right-handed pitchers and only a .398 OPS against left-handed pitchers.

Sunday’s Top 3 Underdog Player Props
Recording more than 17.5 outs means you pitch six complete innings or more. Framber Valdez has done that in his last seven starts. Going further back, he has accomplished that in 13 of his last 14 starts.
Shea Langeliers has been better this season against left-handed pitchers, with a .407 batting average against lefties this season.
Today, he is up against left-handed pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez. Langeliers has also been on a bit of a heater recently. He has cleared a combined 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI in eight of his last 10, including the last three games.
Since coming back on July 23rd, Dylan Carlson has only started and finished three games. That’s part of the reason he has only gone over this mark twice in his eight games since coming back from Triple-A.
