And just like that, we’re already three weeks into the 2025 NFL season. For those who haven’t been following my Dynasty Trade Advice series yet, I’m bringing you two buy-low and two sell-high candidates each week in dynasty, based on my player expectations versus the market.
As this series progresses into the season, players may land on my list multiple times. This simply means I believe the dynasty fantasy football market hasn’t corrected itself yet, and there is still value to be had by either buying or selling a particular player.
As always, my player values and rankings in this series are based on Superflex, PPR, and TE-Premium settings. You may need to adjust values if you play in a 1-QB or non-TE-Premium league. With that out of the way, let’s jump right in and see who my two biggest buys and sells are in dynasty following Week 3.

Players to Buy
TreVeyon Henderson (RB – NE)
The former Ohio State standout hasn’t gotten off to the start many were hoping, seeing just 19 rush attempts and a 34% snap share through the first three weeks of the season. TreVeyon Henderson’s explosive playmaking ability, pass-catching upside and early Day 2 draft capital made him a popular target in dynasty rookie drafts this offseason. Despite this, Henderson hasn’t seen enough volume in New England’s offense to justify starting him in fantasy, and people are growing impatient.
This is the perfect opportunity to take advantage of your league mate’s impatience. It’s just a matter of time before Henderson takes over this backfield and never looks back — especially after Week 3, as Rhamondre Stevenson and Antonio Gibson combined for three fumbles. Ball security has been an issue for both veteran backs in the NFL. Henderson, however, only had one fumble across 590 rush attempts in college. He’s the most talented ball-carrier on this depth chart by miles. Mike Vrabel will have to let him loose eventually.
On KeepTradeCut, a community-sourced dynasty ranking site, Henderson has dropped from RB8 to RB12 since the start of the season. Take advantage of the dip before the window shuts entirely.
Oronde Gadsden (TE – LAC)
After being a healthy scratch in Weeks 1 and 2, Oronde Gadsden finally got his opportunity this past weekend, with fellow tight end Will Dissly nursing an MCL sprain. Gadsden impressed in his first NFL game, earning seven targets, hauling in five for 46 yards. At Syracuse, Gadsden was a sophomore-year breakout, playing like a wide receiver in a tight end’s body. He’s always been a fantasy-friendly asset, and now he gets the chance to prove it at the highest level.
Gadsden’s dad was a notable receiver for the Dolphins in the ’90s and early 2000s, so the bloodlines are there. After his Week 3 performance, I would venture to say Gadsden has all but locked up the No. 1 TE role in Los Angeles moving forward, especially given the lack of competition he’s facing. On KeepTradeCut, he’s valued as the TE35, in line with a mid-third-round rookie pick. That’s free money. Buy Gadsden and watch as your roster value continues to climb.
Players to Sell
Tyquan Thornton (WR – KC)
The biggest beneficiary of the Rashee Rice suspension and Xavier Worthy injury this year has been Tyquan Thornton, the wiry outside receiver who came over from New England. After failing to meet expectations for three years with the Patriots, Thornton has found himself in a full-time role with Patrick Mahomes as his quarterback. Thornton has averaged 12.7 PPR points per game through the first three games of the year, which ranks him as the WR27 overall.
Well, his luck is going to run out fairly soon. Worthy will be back on the field shortly (possibly in Week 4), and Rice has only three weeks left of his suspension. Where does that leave Thornton? He’ll be back on the bench as the Chiefs’ WR4/WR5 alongside JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Thornton is currently the WR85 in KeepTradeCut, in line with a mid-third-round pick. If you can flip him for Oronde Gadsden, smash accept and don’t look back. See if you can sell him for another dart throw wide receiver with actual upside, like Pat Bryant or Dontayvion Wicks. You can even throw a fourth-rounder on top to get that deal like that done.
Jacory Croskey-Merritt (RB – WSH)
Week 3 was supposed to be the true Jacory Croskey-Merritt breakout, following a tragic achilles injury to Austin Ekeler, which may have ended his career. This never materialized, however, as Croskey-Merritt found himself in a three-man committee backfield. It was actually Chris Rodriguez who led the Commanders in rush attempts with 11. Croskey-Merritt played on 23 out of 58 snaps, followed by Rodriguez with 22 and Jeremy McNichols with 15. What’s been most disappointing is that Croskey-Merritt has only one reception through three games. This is not surprising, however, as this was never a part of his game in college.
The consensus amongst the dynasty community is that Croskey-Merritt’s role will continue to grow in this offense. He’s currently valued as the RB24 overall, in the same tier as Terry McLaurin, Trey Benson, Courtland Sutton and Jordan Mason. Feel free to try to sell Croskey-Merritt for any of these players, all with a more defined role in their respective offenses.
If you drafted Croskey-Merritt in the final round of your rookie drafts this offseason, you already made out like a bandit. Take your profits now; I’m not saying this is the peak value for the rookie, but a top-12 running back season is not in his range of values. He’s more likely to fall in value than climb at this point.
