Week 2 Injury Updates
*Injury glossary key:
- FP = Full Participant
- LP = Limited Participant
- DNP = Did Not Practice
Jayden Daniels (QB – WSH)
The video suggests a PCL injury. Lean toward playing with a brace. Will likely have a dip in rushing production.
Xavier Worthy (WR – KC)
Put in two limited practices this week. Trending to return in Week 3. High re-injury risk (~50%). Suspect lower end of internal damage given fast return. Projected for good production once active.
Isaiah Likely (TE – BAL)
Trending to return in Week 3. Data favors a moderate production dip in his first four games back.
Jauan Jennings (WR – SF)
Jauan Jennings’ practice designations this week: DNP > DNP > LP. His CT + MRI scans came back structurally “clean.” Data slightly favors playing (~55%) with mild production dip.
Brock Purdy (QB – SF)
Brock Purdy is dealing with a turf toe injury. The average missed time is around four weeks for severe but non-surgical cases. His throwing power will likely be impacted because of limited push-off strength.
Drake London (WR – ATL) + Jaylen Waddle (WR – MIA)
The video suggests mild AC sprains for both. When able to log a full practice by Friday and not miss any games, data projects no production hit.
Darnell Mooney (WR – ATL)
Suspect a severe AC sprain given the timeline. At this point, no dip is expected.
Christian Kirk (WR – HOU)
Christian Kirk did not practice twice. Even if he logs a limited practice today, data would still favor sitting (~60%). High re-injury risk if rushed.
George Kittle (TE – SF)
George Kittle was put on injured reserve (IR). Data projects he will be out for five weeks. There is an 85% pre-injury productivity initially, plus a two-week ramp-up. There is also a 20% (high) re-injury risk.
Jayden Reed (WR – GB)
Jayden Reed is scheduled for surgery this week. Will be out for a reported 6-8 weeks. Data suggests a six- or seven-week absence. Should see a rapid ramp-up to pre-injury level. Low re-injury risk.
Mason Taylor (TE – NYJ)
Mason Taylor is dealing with an ankle injury. Data projects a 70% chance to play this week.
Dallas Goedert (TE – PHI)
Dallas Goedert has been ruled out after three DNPs. The average missed time is two weeks, but severity varies.
Trent Williams (OT – SF)
Trent Williams’ playing status is to be determined (TBD). The data slightly favors playing (55%). Likely to have veteran rest days during practice throughout the year.
Taylor Decker (OL – DET)
Taylor Decker’s playing status is TBD. Three DNP designations this week. Data heavily favors sitting
Tristan Wirfs (OT – TB)
Trending toward a Week 3 return, plus a four-week ramp-up.
