Hard to believe it’s the final weekend of the season. If you are still playing MLB DFS at this point in the season, it’s important to be vigilant with lineups. Try to stick with teams that have to play their best players for a playoff battle. There will be plenty of players who are rested if they have clinched. On DraftKings, we’re looking at the 12:05 p.m. ET slate that includes seven games. FanDuel has the same games available in a slate.

Saturday’s Top MLB DFS Picks & Player Props
Saturday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings (9/27)
| PLAYER | DraftKings Salary | FanDuel Salary |
| Eury Perez | $8,200 | $8,200 |
| Joe Boyle | $7,700 | $7,900 |
| Justin Verlander | $7,200 | $8,000 |
- With teams prepping their playoff rotations, it’s a difficult slate to project starting pitchers. Eury Perez has a home matchup today against the New York Mets. Perez has been considerably better at home with a 2.63 ERA at Miami and a 5.33 ERA on the road.
- Joe Boyle was recalled by the Tampa Bay Rays in the middle of the month. In his two starts since returning, he has struck out 14 batters in only 10.1 innings while allowing a single earned run. He has a difficult matchup against the Toronto Blue Jays, but his first start since being recalled was also against them. In that game, he struck out five batters in six innings without allowing an earned run.
- Justin Verlander has the matchup we want to take advantage of against the Colorado Rockies on the road. The Rockies’ road wRC+ is by far and away the worst in baseball at 63. Verlander had a bit of a struggle in his first start this week, but still has a 1.53 ERA and 3.58 FIP in his last five starts. His DraftKings price is especially appealing.
Suggested Lineup Stacks
New York Yankees Projected Lineup (9/27)
| POS | PLAYER | DraftKings Salary | FanDuel Salary |
| OF | Trent Grisham | $4,500 | $3,300 |
| OF | Aaron Judge | $6,700 | $4,800 |
| OF/1B (FD) | Cody Bellinger | $5,300 | $3,600 |
| 1B/C | Ben Rice | $4,700 | $3,100 |
| OF | Giancarlo Stanton | $4,600 | $3,500 |
| 2B/3B (FD) | Jazz Chisholm Jr. | $5,800 | $4,000 |
| C | Austin Wells | $3,500 | $2,800 |
| SS | Anthony Volpe | $3,600 | $2,700 |
| 3B | Ryan McMahon | $3,400 | $2,800 |
- The Yankees have already clinched a playoff spot, but they are trying to win the American League East over the Toronto Blue Jays. Today, that means a matchup against Tomoyuki Sugano and the Baltimore Orioles. Sugano has a 5.21 FIP and leads the American League in home runs allowed with 30.
- You have to spend a decent amount, but Aaron Judge is worth the cost. He is leading all of baseball in on-base percentage (OBP), slugging percentage and OPS. He has gone 6-for-7 against Sugano in his career with a pair of home runs.
- Ben Rice is best used against right-handed pitchers. He has an .847 OPS against right-handed pitchers like Sugano, and only a .753 OPS against left-handed pitchers. Since the start of August, he has an .893 OPS.
- Giancarlo Stanton has been cold recently. In the last 28 days, he has only a .608 OPS, but today’s matchup is against a right-handed pitcher. Eighteen of his 21 home runs have come against right-handed pitchers, which is why he has a .924 OPS against them.
San Francisco Giants Projected Lineup (9/27)
| POS | PLAYER | DraftKings Salary | FanDuel Salary |
| OF | Heliot Ramos | $3,800 | $3,100 |
| 1B/3B (FD) | Rafael Devers | $5,3oo | $3,900 |
| SS | Willy Adames | $4,200 | $3,600 |
| 3B | Matt Chapman | $4,300 | $3,300 |
| 1B | Wilmer Flores | $3,700 | $2,900 |
| OF | Jung Hoo Lee | $3,600 | $3,000 |
| 2B/3B/1B/SS (FD) | Casey Schmitt | $3,300 | $2,800 |
| C | Patrick Bailey | $3,000 | $2,800 |
| OF/1B (FD) | Jerar Encarnacion | $3,400 | $2,400 |
- The San Francisco Giants have a matchup against Kyle Freeland of the Colorado Rockies. While Freeland is certainly better in road starts, he still has a 4.36 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP on the road.
- Start your Giants stack with Rafael Devers. While he has stumbled a bit to the finish line, he has three home runs in the last week. Plus, he is 2-for-4 against Freeland in his career, with both of his hits being home runs.
- Heliot Ramos is a good second option for a Giants’ stack. He has four home runs in the past week. He has gone 5-for-13 against Freeland in his career with a double, a triple and a home run.
- You have to make sure that Wilmer Flores is in the lineup before you can keep him in your stack. He seems to be in a designated hitter platoon against left-handed pitchers, which should mean he is playing against Freeland. His track record of 12-for-42 with three doubles and a home run against Freeland should mean he gets the chance to hit today.
Core Studs
| POS | PLAYER | DraftKings Salary | FanDuel Salary |
| 2B | Gleyber Torres | $4,400 | $3,100 |
| OF | Daylen Lile | $3,900 | $2,800 |
| SS | Trevor Story | $4,500 | $3,600 |
- The expectation is that Gleyber Torres will be opposed by left-handed starting pitcher Connelly Early. Torres has an elite .926 OPS against left-handed pitchers as opposed to only a .693 OPS against right-handed pitchers.
- Daylen Lile is undervalued for how he has performed since being recalled. He has a .296/.343/.479 slash line since being brought back to the Major Leagues. He isn’t slowing down either. In the last 30 days, only Aaron Judge and Juan Soto have a higher OPS.
- The resurgent season of Trevor Story has not been appreciated enough. A 25-home run and 30-stolen base season shows he can still be a top-tier performer when healthy. He isn’t slowing down either, with an .827 OPS over the last 28 days.
Value Plays/Punts
| POS | PLAYER | DraftKings Salary | FanDuel Salary |
| 1B/3B (FD) | Coby Mayo | $2,400 | $2,500 |
| OF | Mickey Moniak | $3,700 | $3,100 |
| 1B | Yandy Diaz | $4,800 | $3,100 |
- Coby Mayo may finally be delivering on his immense pedigree. Over the last 14 days, he has five extra-base hits, including three home runs. That is a 1.247 OPS in that span.
- The goal is typically to avoid recommending hitters against recommended starting pitchers, but with the difficult-to-predict lineups, that is hard today. Mickey Moniak is doing nearly all of his damage against right-handed pitchers. Over the last two weeks, he has a 1.081 OPS with eight extra-base hits, including five home runs.
- Make sure that Yandy Diaz is in the lineup. He played yesterday, but has been dealing with a groin injury. When he has been healthy, he’s been one of the best hitters in baseball the last month with a 1.071 OPS.
Saturday’s Top 3 Underdog Player Props
Byron Buxton (OF, DH – MIN): 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI — Higher
Byron Buxton has a matchup today against left-handed pitcher Ranger Suarez. He has been better against left-handed pitchers with a .295/.367/.648 slash line. He has cleared a combined 1.5 hits + runs + RBI in six of the last 10 games.
Dominic Canzone (OF, DH – SEA): 0.5 Total Bases — Higher
You have to first make sure that Dominic Canzone is in today’s lineup. Officially, he has a matchup against Tyler Glasnow, whom I would be looking to avoid. However, we saw last night with Emmet Sheehan that the Dodgers are going to be cautious with their pitchers. Canzone has exceeded this mark in six of his last seven games.
Tyler Glasnow (SP – LAD): 6.5 Strikeouts — Lower
I just mentioned why I am taking this one. Emmet Sheehan struck out three batters last night in the first inning. He was then promptly removed from the game, as the Dodgers plan for the postseason. Considering that the Dodgers ended up using six bullpen pitchers, I expect Tyler Glasnow will go deeper into the game than Sheehan did. Still, it’s hard to envision him going more than three innings.
