Let’s dive into the top fantasy football injuries to know for Week 9.

Fantasy Football Injuries to Know for Week 9

Jayden Daniels (QB – WSH)

Jayden Daniels (hamstring) logged a full practice on Thursday.

Jayden Daniels is ready to return to action after getting a full practice in on Thursday. However, it’s a tough spot against one of the best defenses in the NFL, which seems to get better every week, in Mike Macdonald’s Seahawks. For that reason, I recommend tempering expectations on Daniels.

Nico Collins (WR – HOU)

Nico Collins (concussion) practiced in full on Thursday.

Nico Collins is ready to return for the Texans, which is great news for an offense that looked much better against the 49ers last week. The problem is that offensive coordinator Nick Caley isn’t using Collins properly, merely leaving him on the perimeter. This limits Collins’ upside in what looks like a down year.

Puka Nacua (WR – LAR)

Puka Nacua (ankle) recorded a full practice on Thursday.

Puka Nacua is ready to return after missing one game with an ankle injury. Let’s not forget about the historic pace he was on before getting injured. With the Rams having one of the highest implied totals on the slate, we could see a blowup game from Nacua at home against the Saints.

Kyler Murray (QB – ARI)

Kyler Murray (foot) was limited in practice on Thursday.

Kyler Murray was limited in practice on Thursday. The fact that he’s been able to participate in practice bodes well for his chances of playing this week. The question you have to consider is, will he be at full capacity? Since Murray only logged a limited practice, that makes me wonder if he’ll be able to run as much as usual. For that reason, I’m not excited about him, even against the Cowboys.

Woody Marks (RB – HOU)

Woody Marks (calf) was a limited participant in practice on Thursday.

Woody Marks was added to the injury report with a calf injury on Thursday. The dynamic back who can make an impact in the passing game is a risky start against the Broncos this week, especially with this ailment. I suggest looking elsewhere if you need a Flex option for Week 9, even though I expect Marks will play.

Stefon Diggs (WR – NE)

Stefon Diggs (ankle) recorded a full practice on Thursday.

Stefon Diggs should be all systems go for the Patriots in a home game against the Falcons. Playing with an MVP candidate like Drake Maye, Diggs has a chance for a spike week in any given matchup. We’ve seen Kayshon Boutte find the end zone in recent weeks; perhaps it’s Diggs’ turn this time around.

Drake London (WR – ATL)

Drake London (hip) was limited in practice on Thursday.

It’s encouraging to see that Drake London was able to get in a limited practice, especially after missing Week 8, which turned into a blowout loss against the Dolphins. The Falcons desperately need London, along with quarterback Michael Penix Jr., back in the lineup, as Kirk Cousins looked abysmal last week.

D’Andre Swift (RB – CHI)

D’Andre Swift (groin) missed practice on Thursday.

D’Andre Swift missing practice doesn’t bode well for his chances of playing this week. That’s a shame because it’s a smash spot against the Bengals, who have consistently been gashed on the ground this season, most recently by Breece Hall. We’ll have to see if Swift can practice on Friday. We will likely see more Kyle Monangai than usual, even if Swift does play.
