Dynasty Fantasy Football Risers & Fallers

Dynasty Fantasy Football Risers

Chase Brown (RB – CIN)

After struggling to begin the season, Chase Brown has produced his top four fantasy scores of the season in his last four games. He’s topped 70 rushing yards in four of his last five games, including totals of 99, 108 and 107 on Sunday, while clearing 100+ all-purpose yards in all five games.

Brown’s efficiency that made him a fantasy darling last season has returned with six yards per carry during the five-game stretch, a vast improvement from the 2.8 he averaged over the first six weeks of the season. The Bengals’ offense has functioned at a higher rate since acquiring Joe Flacco, and with Joe Burrow nearing a return, the offense will only get better.

TreVeyon Henderson (RB – NE)

Although it was a quieter fantasy output than we’ve seen from TreVeyon Henderson in recent weeks, he officially took control of the Patriots’ backfield on Sunday. He rushed 18 times for 66 yards and caught three passes for 15 yards, tallying 11.1 fantasy points.

Henderson out-snapped Rhamondre Stevenson in his return, 46 to 22, and out-carried him 18 to six. Stevenson will continue to be involved going forward, but it’s impossible to put the genie back in the bottle after Henderson’s production in the last few weeks.

Colston Loveland (TE – CHI)

Rookie tight end Colston Loveland played only one more snap than Cole Kmet on Sunday, but he ran 26 routes compared to Kmet’s 17 and drew five targets in the game, four more than Kmet. Loveland caught four of his five targets for 49 yards and a touchdown, en route to 14.9 fantasy points.

Loveland is beginning to establish himself as a consistent part of the offense with 262 yards and three touchdowns across his last four games, good for 15.2 points pr game (PPG) and the TE4 during that stretch.

George Pickens (WR – DAL)

One of the biggest dynasty risers of the entire season, George Pickens’ move to Dallas has been a fruitful one for fantasy managers and for his impending free agency. Pickens caught all nine of his targets for 146 yards and a touchdown, good for 29.6 fantasy points.

Pickens gave his best Randy Moss impersonation in the fourth quarter, catching a deep ball down the sideline over two defenders and setting the Cowboys up for a game-tying score. After scoring just six points in Week 1, Pickens has cleared double digits in every game since and has topped 29 points four times.

Pickens is now the WR2 overall and the WR4 in PPG. His 1,044 receiving yards this season are 35 more than the entire Pittsburgh Steelers wide receivers’ combined yards this season. He’s seeing plenty of volume alongside CeeDee Lamb and should continue posting crooked numbers with the Cowboys’ aerial attack.

Wan’Dale Robinson (WR – NYG)

We’ve seen these flashes from Wan’Dale Robinson in the past, but when you catch nine passes for 156 yards and a touchdown, finishing the week as the WR2 with 30.6 points, there’s a good chance you’re a riser.

Not only did Robinson show out on Sunday with his biggest game of the season, but he’s now up to WR9 overall and the WR20 in PPG on the season. It’s his third game of 20+ points and his seventh game with double-digit points.

Adonai Mitchell (WR – NYJ) & John Metchie (WR – NYJ)

It’s a career revival in New York for Adonai Mitchell and John Metchie. The duo drew the start this week with Garrett Wilson out, and played far more snaps than Allen Lazard, Isaiah Williams and Arian Smith. Metchie and Mitchell tied for the team lead in targets with seven.

Metchie snagged six of them for 65 yards and a score, while Mitchell caught just two but tallied 42 yards and looked spry with the ball in his hands. It’s difficult to envision what the Jets’ offense will look like next season, but the wide receiver room appears wide open after Wilson.

Metchie is 25 years old and has an opportunity to earn a future role, but Mitchell, in particular, is an exciting prospect at just 23 years old and could turn a corner in his new home.

Kyle Monangai (RB – CHI)

For the first time this season, seventh-round rookie Kyle Monangai took more snaps than D’Andre Swift while sharing the field.

Monangai played 35 snaps compared to Swift’s 29 and took 12 carries to Swift’s eight. The rookie parlayed his 12 carries into 48 yards and a touchdown, totaling 10.8 fantasy points. He was far more effective with his opportunities than Swift, who turned his eight carries into just 15 yards.

Brenton Strange (TE – JAX)

After missing five games with a hip injury, Brenton Strange returned to the Jaguars’ lineup on Sunday and produced his best game of the season.

Strange caught five passes for a season high 93 yards en route to a TE4 finish on the week with 14.3 fantasy points. He led the team in receiving this week and will be a focal point of the offense moving forward with Travis Hunter on injured reserve (IR).

Dynasty Fantasy Football Fallers

Jameson Williams (WR – DET)

Jameson Williams was unable to secure any of his three targets on Sunday, failing to score a single fantasy point for the second time in five games. Sandwiched between the two donuts are point totals of 16.6, 23.9 and 19.7, as the same story continues for Williams.

Following every encouraging stretch of games, it seems Williams slides back down to Earth. In an overtime game that saw the Lions post 494 yards of offense, it’s disappointing that Williams couldn’t continue his momentum and cement himself as a reliable fantasy option.

Isaiah Likely (TE – BAL)

With all the offseason rumors of the Ravens looking to move off of Mark Andrews, it was reasonable to expect Isaiah Likely to build off some positive momentum from last season and break out this year. A preseason foot injury was certain to be a speed bump in that quest, but his breakout has been entirely derailed.

Despite consistent playing time, Likely has caught just five passes over the last three games for 42 yards, bringing him to 128 yards on the season. With Andrews and Likely both in the final year of their contracts, Likely remains an intriguing option for the future, but his success is far more fragile than it once seemed.

D’Andre Swift (RB – CHI)

What goes up must come down, or something like that. Kyle Monangai rises, D’Andre Swift falls. Swift finally saw his usage dip below Monangai’s on Sunday.

Adding insult to injury was a fumble for Swift, along with eight carries for just 15 yards. It feels like the tide is turning in Chicago’s backfield, and it wouldn’t be the first time Swift has been squeezed out of a Ben Johnson offense.

Cedric Tillman (WR – CLE)

Although injuries held Cedric Tillman back from a true breakout last season, there was plenty of positive momentum to build on for the third-year pro. That momentum has come to a screeching halt with Tillman posting just 25 yards per game.

On Sunday, he corralled just one of his three targets for five yards. While that came with Shedeur Sanders making his first start, Tillman has been unimpactful when on the field for the entire season.

Jalen Tolbert (WR – DAL)

Once considered the leading candidate to take over as the Cowboys’ No. 2 receiver, Jalen Tolbert has instead been a non-factor this season.

After failing to record a catch in each of the last two games, Tolbert was a healthy inactive this week in favor of Jonathan Mingo. KaVontae Turpin and Ryan Flournoy are well ahead of Tolbert in the pecking order, leaving Tolbert with a questionable future in Dallas.
