Sometimes fantasy football feels like a weekly science experiment gone wrong. One minute you’re mixing the perfect lineup formula, the next you’re covered in the radioactive fallout of a three-point dud. Week 10 is no different, with injuries, bye weeks, and unexpected breakout candidates all bubbling over. Fortunately, our Featured Pros have donned their lab coats (and helmets) to identify which players deserve a start in your lineup and which ones might just blow up your matchup for all the wrong reasons.

Sleepers
Which player outside of the top 100 in the FantasyPros Flex rankings is a good sleeper start, and why do you think he has upside this week?
Devin Singletary (RB – NYG)
“Devin Singletary is the fantasy equivalent of that leftover slice of pizza you swore you weren’t going to eat but end up grabbing out of pure desperation. Desperation could be this week with four teams on bye and injuries piling up (may Tucker Kraft‘s fantasy soul rest in peace). He out-snapped Tyrone Tracy 32-25 against the 49ers last week and was more efficient with his touches. What’s more surprising is that in a trailing game script where you’d expect Tracy to be featured as an explosive receiving back, Singletary still got the love, including both red zone touches for the backfield. The Bears’ defense gave a masterclass in social distancing against the Bengals, so Singletary could stumble his way into a respectable fantasy day.”
– Lance Gandy (Tap Into Fantasy)
Dyami Brown (WR – JAC)
“If you need a deep play, look at the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Dyami Brown and Bhayshul Tuten. No Travis Hunter, no Brenton Strange, and Brian Thomas Jr. is banged up. Parker Washington and Dyami Brown could easily be the top two receiving options. Brown was targeted seven times last week on just 60% of snaps. Look for him to be involved until Thomas is healthy and Meyers is up to speed.”
– David Heilman (Sports Gambling Podcast Network)
AJ Barner (TE – SEA)
“All the attention in Seattle in the passing game obviously goes to JSN, but TE AJ Barner has been starting to contribute in a big way for this team over the last few weeks. The Seahawks run a ton of 2 TE sets every single week, which means that Barner is on the field a lot, and once the offense gets down into the red zone, the young TE has become a favorite of Sam Darnold‘s. Against a below-average Arizona Cardinals defense, AJ Barner should feast over the middle of the field throughout the entire game.”
– Aidan Weingartner (Fantasy In Frames)
Dalton Schultz (TE – HOU)
“Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz is the perfect sleeper play in NFL Week 10. Schultz sits around TE18 in ECR and is well beyond the flex radar, yet faces a Jacksonville defense that surrenders fantasy points to tight ends by the boatload. With Nico Collins and Christian Kirk both nursing injuries, Schultz soaked up 21 targets for 199 yards over the last three weeks, making him C.J. Stroud‘s (or Davis Mills‘) safety net. The Jaguars have been gashed by tight ends all year, and Schultz has already torched them for 12.1 PPR points in their last meeting. In a game script that should feature plenty of short passes and redzone looks, Schultz has legit TE1 upside at a fraction of the roster cost. Fire him up with confidence.”
– Aaron St Denis (Fantasy Sports Advice Network)
Juwan Johnson (TE – NO)
“Juwan Johnson is a sneaky Week 10 sleeper. He’s quietly heating up with three straight TE1 finishes, earning 19 targets and 163 yards over that span. With Rashid Shaheed traded and rookie QB Tyler Shough favoring short throws (5.4 air yards per attempt), Johnson’s target volume should stay strong. The matchup also lines up. Carolina ranks 13th in fantasy points allowed to TEs and 20th in EPA allowed to tight ends. Rostered in just 35% of leagues, Johnson is a strong streaming option for managers navigating injuries or bye weeks.”
– Ryan Linkletter (Blitz Sports Media)
David Njoku (TE – CLE)
“Fantasy owners who are streaming tight end, or had Tucker Kraft, and are scouring the waiver wire for a replacement as the season progresses, need to consider adding David Njoku. He has played in seven games this year, averaging just under six targets/game. Bring on the reeling New York Jets defense that is now without Quinnen Williams and Sauch Gardner, who were traded at the deadline, and there should be some points to be had for the Cleveland Browns offense, even though it is not stellar either. Njoku has shown TE1 ability in the past, and with a rookie quarterback, he could get back into that realm, along with his running mate Harold Fannin Jr.”
– Adam Dove (The Fantasy Couriers)
Mason Taylor (TE – NYJ)
“As the 102nd flex player on the board, I’ll take Mason Taylor pretty easily here. Potentially the only game in town as a pass catcher again this week and against a defense in the Cleveland Browns that won’t allow much at all on the ground, Taylor offers up a volume play with the potential to score. Few of the names around him can claim the same. If he gives you what he gave you with Garrett Wilson out before their bye last week, you’ll once again be very happy with his output. Mason has disappeared in about half of his games this season, and he’s only scored once. But the post-bye rookie bump is real. Even if Wilson plays, I’ll flex Mason with the confidence of a high floor this week.”
– Jeremy Shulman (Fantasy Football Universe)
Pat Freiermuth (TE – PIT)
“For any fantasy managers that are looking at the TE market for answers, Pat Freiermuth could provide some answers this week. Freiermuth goes up against the Chargers this week, who have conceded four TDs to the position this season. He has been on a bit of a roll the last few weeks, with three TDs in his last three contests. His overall upside remains capped due to the presence of Jonnu Smith, but if “Muth” can find the end zone this week, he would, in all likelihood, log a top-12 finish at the TE position.”
– Ed Birdsall (Talking Points Sports)
Duds
Which player inside the top 40 in the FantasyPros Flex rankings is likely to disappoint fantasy managers this week?
Breece Hall (RB – NYJ)
“Breece Hall has faced two top-15 defenses in EPA against the run and has scored 5.9 and 7.2 fantasy points. He now gets the top defense in EPA against the run, the Cleveland Browns, and I’m assuming Justin Fields will be named the starter again after he led them to their first win last week. He did that against a Bengals team that seemingly gives up 30+ points to everyone now, but the week before, he was about to be benched because they had scored 17 points total the previous two games. I expect something more like that with Miles Garrett and company coming to town. With many of the Jets’ defensive stars now on different teams, you can also expect a trailing game script, and, oh yeah, the Browns have given up the least amount of receiving yards to backs also.”
– Lance Gandy (Tap Into Fantasy)
“Breece Hall could struggle to meet expectations this week despite his season-high 32-point performance in Week 8. The Browns have been a nightmare matchup for running backs, ranking 1st in DVOA, 2nd in EPA against the run, and allowing the 2nd-fewest fantasy points to the position. Hall has thrived only against weak run defenses, failing to top 9.2 points against defenses ranked inside the top 16 in EPA. With uncertainty around his role following trade rumors and limited red zone usage (33rd in touches), his Week 10 outlook is concerning. Fantasy managers should temper expectations against Cleveland’s dominant front.”
– Ryan Linkletter (Blitz Sports Media)
“We’re gonna stick with the Jets and talk down Breece Hall. The Browns are second-best when it comes to limiting opposing fantasy RBs this season, and Breece is already ceding plenty of work to Isaiah Davis in the passing game. I expect Breece to see enough volume to succeed, but I’m less confident he’ll be able to do much with it. The Jets will struggle to score much; Breece, without a touchdown, will look very average this week. We hope he scores, but I’m betting against it and tempering expectations, especially after the Jets dealt away two of their best players this week for future draft capital.”
– Jeremy Shulman (Fantasy Football Universe)
TreVeyon Henderson (RB – NE)
“TreVeyon Henderson is currently inside the top-40 flex rankings. Based on the fact that New England seems to hate him and Rhamondre Stevenson could be back, I’m not going to be as high as the consensus on this one. Henderson has had his best fantasy performances of the year in the last two weeks. His golden opportunity turned into 10.50 points. He’s a borderline flex play, not a top-40 flex play.”
– David Heilman (Sports Gambling Podcast Network)
“TreVeyon Henderson was supposed to take over the backfield with Rhamondre Stevenson sidelined in Week 9. He ended up being in a committee with Terrell Jennings and only managed 15 carries to Jennings’ 11, plus Jennings scored the Patriots’ rushing touchdown. New England’s offense runs through Drake Maye, and the run game appears to be a committee approach, which is excellent for NFL teams but terrible for fantasy owners. Henderson was a preseason darling and still is a top 40-ranked player for Week 10, but will let owners who lean on him in the RB1 or RB2 role down.”
– Adam Dove (The Fantasy Couriers)
“Patience is running very thin with TreVeyon Henderson, and a lot of the reasons are not his fault. In a week where he was slated for the featured role with no Rhamondre Stevenson for the Patriots, Henderson received 18 touches last week, only for Terrell Jennings to receive 12 touches and snipe a TD away from Henderson. Perfect. Mike Vrabel, for some reason, has refused to take the training wheels off of Henderson despite how good he has looked in limited time this year. If Stevenson plays, obviously, Henderson would be downgraded massively, but even if Stevenson is out, it is hard to trust Henderson even in a fantastic matchup versus Tampa when his coach is not there yet with him.”
– Ed Birdsall (Talking Points Sports)
Nico Collins (WR – HOU)
“Nico Collins vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars. C.J. Stroud is likely going to be out for this matchup due to a concussion, which means that it will be Davis Mills under center for the Houston Texans. Aside from the obvious QB issues, this is not good for Nico Collins because the offensive play-calling in Houston this year has been a disaster, and the offensive line has been a complete mess. And against a very good Jaguars defense, this could get very shaky for Nico Collins. You can still start Collins this week, just maybe temper your expectations for him a bit.”
– Aidan Weingartner (Fantasy In Frames)
Stefon Diggs (WR – NE)
“Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs is primed for a massive letdown game in Week 10. Tampa Bay’s bye-week-fresh defense has surrendered the fewest passing TDs (1) over the last three games and ranks in the top 10 in yards per attempt allowed. Quarterback Drake Maye loves to spread the ball around, with no Patriots receiver topping a 21% target share in any game this season, with Diggs sitting at just over 20% since Week 6. With Hunter Henry, Kayshon Boutte, DeMario Douglas, and Kyle Williams all siphoning targets, Diggs faces a capped ceiling in a run-first game script. Fade the name value as he is likely to struggle to crack WR4 territory. Bench him if you can.”
