We’re very early in the offseason cycle, as we’re just a couple of weeks removed from the Seattle Seahawks winning Super Bowl LX. But fantasy football never stops. More importantly, drafting never stops. The earliest best ball drafts are happening right now and will continue until the first Thursday of Week 1 in September.
Even if we don’t have the most information to go on as of yet, with NFL free agency in a couple of weeks, we still can value the players right now. Now is one of the best times to get on players you think are undervalued, as average draft position (ADP) will no doubt shift a ton for players from now until the start of the 2026 season. Let’s go through a few key undervalued players.

Undervalued Fantasy Football Wide Receivers
Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR – DET) | ADP: WR5
It’s very difficult to say a wide receiver is undervalued when he’s currently WR5 in FantasyPros’ expert consensus rankings (ECR). However, my personal valuation of Amon-Ra St. Brown puts him right in the same tier as Ja’Marr Chase, Puka Nacua and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
St. Brown put up yet another season of 100+ receptions and over 1,100 receiving yards in 2025. That’s four straight seasons of hitting those benchmarks. Just to give you some historical context, the only players who have done this in their careers are:
- Marvin Harrison (1999-2002)
- Antonio Brown (2013-2018)
- Davante Adams (2020-2023)
- Stefon Diggs (2020-2023)
And St. Brown’s done it so quietly. It speaks to how consistent and automatic the Detroit Lions’ passing game is, with St. Brown and quarterback Jared Goff leading the way. Last season also gave us St. Brown’s third consecutive season with 10+ touchdowns. Even though former offensive coordinator John Morton was let go and replaced by former Cardinals offensive coordinator Drew Petzing, St. Brown’s production shouldn’t waver in 2026.
St. Brown feels like one of the safest bets in fantasy football each season. It’s difficult not to see his current price tag of WR5 as one of the easiest picks you can make. Detroit is a team that shouldn’t change too much in terms of personnel in the midst of their competitive window. That said, why shouldn’t St. Brown make that top wide receiver trio a quartet of fantasy wide receivers, adding him to Chase, Nacua and Smith-Njigba?
Luther Burden III (WR – CHI) | ADP: WR24
Fantasy managers felt a bit teased by Luther Burden III in 2025. If you saw him at Missouri or training camp for the Bears, you knew what he could do. However, for much of last season, you couldn’t start Burden in your fantasy lineups. The consistent opportunity just wasn’t there.
But with Rome Odunze missing the final five games of the regular season, Burden was able to dominate with games of 4-67 and 6-85, before a breakout game against the 49ers in Week 17, where he caught eight of his nine targets for 138 yards and a score.
#Bears WR Luther Burden III in his rookie year:
• 124.5 targeted passer rating (5th for all WRs)
• 2.82 yards/route run (3rd)
• 7.1 YAC per catch (T-3rd)
• 78.6% targets caught (4th)
• 158.3 targeted passer rating on deep balls (T-1st)Efficiency king. pic.twitter.com/Uddz6hCDCU

DJ Moore‘s future with the Bears is up in the air, but you can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube with Burden after his breakout stretch at the end of the season and into the playoffs. Burden is priced reasonably for a player likely to take the next step with a full season of work, but the price is going to go up from here. His ADP is very good now, but he could eventually become overvalued as we get deeper into the offseason.
Romeo Doubs (WR – FA) | ADP: WR58
As a generational Romeo Doubs hater despite being a Packers fan, I have to recognize a bargain when I see one. Doubs is likely priced out of Green Bay. Hopefully, he’ll slot into a much more condensed offense that features more team pass attempts.
The Packers ranked in the bottom six in the NFL in total team pass attempts with 489 last season, with a bottom-nine pass rate over expected (-4.4%) and the fourth-lowest pass rate of all NFL teams (56%).
How uncondensed were the Packers in 2025? Well, Doubs led the team with 85 targets last season, but six other Packers had at least 30 targets. To say the passing game wasn’t the focus of the Packers’ offense is putting it mildly.
Could Romeo Doubs end up being the best WR on the free agent market? pic.twitter.com/Vgbcz7kZvq

Doubs did put up one of the better seasons he’s had in his four NFL seasons. On a Packers team that spreads the ball around to a half-dozen receivers, Doubs still managed 85 targets and 724 yards, with his best yards per route run (YPRR) rate of 1.73 in his career.
In free agency, Doubs will get well above what the Packers would pay for that production. He is being priced like he’s still on the Packers, but he’s going to get a bag from a team in free agency to be a featured wide receiver. I’m willing to pay the reasonable WR58 price to see if Doubs, entering his age-26 season, can get 100+ targets.
