The Marlins have selected prep shortstop Kahlil Watson with the 16th overall selection in the 2021 MLB Draft.
Fantasy Impact: Watson was projected by many to be a top-10 pick in the draft, and several analysts ranked him as a top-five prospect. Money concerns and a small frame were likely the biggest factors in his tumble to No. 16. In Watson, the Marlins get a spectacular runner with a nice blend of hitting and glovework. Despite being just 5-foot-9, Watson has also been able to produce impressive power as a left-handed hitter.

The Brewers have selected Boston College outfielder Sal Frelick with the 15th overall selection in the 2021 MLB Draft.
Fantasy Impact: Frelick is a talented athlete who was a three-sport standout in high school. He looked really solid at Boston College, logging more walks than strikeouts between 2019 and 2020. He also possesses really impressive speed in addition to top-tier athleticism and elite defensive ability, which bodes well for his long-term projectability in center field.

The Giants have selected Mississippi State right-handed pitcher Will Bednar with the 14th overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft.
Fantasy Impact: Bednar's best pitch is his fastball, which reached the upper-90s this past season. As for secondary pitches, his curveball and slider are above-average pitches that round out his repertoire. Finally, Bednar is working on adding a changeup as his fourth pitch. All in all, the right-hander has solid control and is ultimately a well-rounded prospect.

The Phillies have selected prep right-hander Andrew Painter with the 13th overall selection in the 2021 MLB Draft.
Fantasy Impact: Painter is a talented hurler who has shown impressive skills on the mound in high school. The 6-foot-6 right-hander has an impressive four-pitch mix with a fastball, curveball, slider, and changeup. The heater is his best pitch, checking in around the mid-90s with enough elevation to baffle batters.

Fantasy Impact: Ford is a defensive wizard who is a lock to stick behind the plate long-term. While he is certainly a defense-first prospect, he has shown flashes of potential offensively, too. He has also shown out on the basepaths, clocking a 6.42 60-yard dash time recently.

Fantasy Impact: House possesses impressive strength and bat speed, and he is able to pepper the ball deep into all parts of the field. The 18-year-old is a solid athlete who will get a chance to prove his worth at shortstop. If that does not go as planned, though, he can shift to third base and show off his incredible arm strength.

The New York Mets have selected Vanderbilt right-handed pitcher Kumar Rocker with the 10th overall pick in the MLB Draft.
Fantasy Impact: Rocker is the second Vandy hurler off the board after Jack Leiter went No. 2 to the Rangers. A hard-throwing right-hander, Rocker seems like a perfect fit for the Mets. In addition to an upper-90s fastball, Rocker baffles batters with a slider that results in plenty of swings and misses. Control will be the biggest question for Rocker down the road.

The Angels have selected right-handed pitcher Sam Bachman with the No. 9 pick in the 2021 MLB Draft.
Fantasy Impact: Bachman has an incredible fastball that has developed immensely as of late; the pitch now touches triple-digits from time to time. He also possesses a powerful slider and deceptive changeup that should serve as very solid complementary pitches as Bachman appears in the Angels' rotation down the road.

The Rockies have used the No. 8 overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft on prep outfielder Benny Montgomery.
Fantasy Impact: Montgomery is a 6-foot-4, 200-pound outfielder out of Red Land High School in Pennsylvania. He has good bat speed and incredible pop, as well as impressive defensive metrics. His best trait, however, is his blazing fast speed, which has garnered grades of 80 from some analysts. There is a lot to like about Montgomery, though the Rockies will surely be looking for him to swing and miss less frequently as that has been a concern in the past.

The Royals have selected Frank Mozzicato, a prep left-hander out of East Catholic High School in Connecticut, with their No. 7 overall selection in the 2021 MLB Draft.
Fantasy Impact: Mozzicato was a fairly surprising pick as several draft boards listed him outside of the top-30 prospects. He threw four straight no-hitters in his school's undefeated championship season this past year. The southpaw's best pitch is his curveball, and his fastball checks in around the low-90s.

The Diamondbacks are using their No. 6 overall selection on prep shortstop Jordan Lawlar.
Fantasy Impact: Lawlar, a product of Jesuit Prep high school in Texas, is a five-tool prospect with a beautiful swing and knack for peppering the baseball into gaps throughout the entire field. Defensively, he has incredible range, impressive glovework and hands, and a very strong arm. His profile rounds out with sneaky-good speed.
