Ty Buttrey being placed on restricted list after not reporting to alt site

Angels reliever Ty Buttrey has been placed on the restricted list and didn't report to the team's alternate site after his recent demotion from the big league squad. Buttrey has "chosen to walk away from the game right now," according to Angels manager Joe Maddon. (Rhett Bollinger)
Fantasy Impact:
Buttrey has appeared in high-leverage situations for the Angels for the past three seasons but was a surprise demotion at the end of spring training. He did not pitch particularly well in 2020, with a 5.81 ERA and 18 strikeouts over 26 1/3 innings, but he did save 11 games for the Halos from 2018-2020. For now, it appears he has opted to walk away from baseball rather than work out at the team's alternate site ahead of the minor league season. He just turned 28 years old at the end of March.
