Vic Black has suffered a setback with a herniated disk in his neck. Blacks hopes to avoid surgery and his return date is unclear. Black's fastball sat between 88-90 mph in his ;last game of his rehab assignment, down 5 mph for his previous outings. (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
Black's prognosis does not sound to promising. The Mets bullpen, already beat up with the injury to Blevins and the suspension of Mejia, could have used Black back as soon as possible. Black will take a week off from baseball activities before resuming throwing again.
