The Cubs reportedly have interest in bringing the veteran left hander back in 2023. Smyly finished the 2022 season with a 7-8 record, 3.47 ERA, and 91 strikeouts in 22 starts. The 33-year-old lefthander should be sought after by teams needing help in the rotation.
