The Atlanta Braves and shortstop Orlando Arcia are in agreement on a three-year contract extension. (Robert Murray on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Arcia somewhat surprisingly was named the Braves' Opening Day shortstop this spring over the highly-touted Vaughn Grissom. Nonetheless, the utility infielder is coming off a career year at the plate that saw him hit .244 with nine homers, a career-high 9% BB%, .732 OPS, and 104 wRC+ across 68 games with the Braves. He struggled to hit earlier in his career with the Brewers but the now 28-year-old gets a chance to be a factor for the Braves to open the 2023 campaign.
