Mitch Garver made his season debut on Saturday, cranking two homers and adding six RBIs and a walk in the 16-3 win over the Phillies.
Fantasy Impact:
What a performance by the veteran catcher. He was limited to just 14 games last year with injuries, so he is not eligible for the position this year just yet. Once he plays enough games to qualify as a backstop, he should be rostered universally in two-catcher leagues, as not many catchers possess the power potential that Garver has. Keep tabs on him on the waiver wire, or feel free to add and stash him if you are desperate for catching help.
