Clarke Schmidt (0-0, 8.10) pitched 3.1 innings, giving up three runs on five hits and one walk while striking out five in New York’s 7-5 loss to San Francisco.
Fantasy Impact:
Schmidt failed to make it out of the 4th inning of his 2023 debut, taking 76-pitches to record 10 outs. The only saving grace for fantasy managers was that five of those 10 outs came via strikeout. Schmidt’s next start is slated for Thursday in Baltimore.
