This is potentially a devastating development for a Marlins team that enters play Wednesday just a half game back of the final Wild Card spot in the National League. The 2022 NL Cy Young winner tossed a 2.28 ERA last season but regressed to a 4.14 mark across 28 starts this season, including eight innings of two-run ball his last time out. Fantasy managers should prepare for the event Alcantara is shut down for the season while dynasty managers would be adversely affected in the scenario that the right-hander will require surgery.
