Jose Urquidy agrees to deal with Tigers

Jose Urquidy has agreed to one-year, $1 million contract with Detroit Tigers the club announced Saturday. (Detroit Tigers on Twitter)

Urquidy’s deal includes a club option for 2026 worth $4 million. The right-hander missed the entire 2024 season recovering from Tommy John surgery, but will look to offer manager AJ Hinch another option as part of a revamped Detroit pitching staff led by reigning AL Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal as the club looks to contend in a wide open AL Central division this upcoming season.
