The Atlanta Braves have acquired catcher Jason Delay from the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for cash considerations. He was optioned to Double-A Columbus on Thursday. (Atlanta Braves on Twitter)

Delay was designated for assignment by the Bucs on Wednesday but has quickly found a new home. The 30-year-old is a career .231 hitter with two homers and a 69 wRC+ across 134 big-league appearances.
