The Washington Nationals have selected shortstop Eli Willits with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft (Jeff Passan on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Willits, a 17-year-old switch-hitting shortstop from Fort Cobb-Broxton High School, won six state championships in three years, capturing three titles in fall and three in spring. He is the youngest player in this year’s draft and becomes the third No. 1 overall pick in Nationals franchise history. Washington previously selected first in 2009 and 2010, taking Stephen Strasburg and Bryce Harper.
