Gonzalez will take the roster spot of Elvis Peguero, who was placed on the 15-day injured list with an elbow strain on Wednesday. Gonzalez has posted a 2.25 ERA in eight innings for the White Sox this season but has posted a 4.93 ERA across 26 appearances between Double-A and Triple-A this season.
