Grayson Rodriguez expected to be ready for spring training

Los Angeles Angels general manager Perry Minasian announced Wednesday that Grayson Rodriguez (elbow) is expected to be ready for the start of spring training. The right-hander, who was acquired from the Orioles on Tuesday in exchange for Taylor Ward, is scheduled to begin throwing bullpen sessions in January. (Taylor Blake Ward)

Fantasy Impact:

Rodriguez missed the entire 2025 campaign due to multiple arm issues, culminating in a right elbow debridement to remove a bone spur in August. He had been scheduled to commence a throwing program in October. Despite flashing upside, staying healthy has been a challenge; he carries a career 4.11 ERA and 259:78 K:BB ratio across 238.2 regular-season innings. Following the lost season, Rodriguez is likely to face workload restrictions with his new club in 2026.
