Andrew Heaney has announced his retirement after 12 MLB seasons. The lefthander pitched for the Marlins, Angels, Yankees, Dodgers, Rangers and Pirates. (MLB on X)

Heaney, the former ninth overall pick by the Marlins in the 2012 MLB Draft, was a highly-touted prospect who made his debut just two years after being selected out of Oklahoma State. He finished his 12-year career with a 56-72 record and a 4.57 ERA in 230 appearances (208 starts). The southpaw averaged more than a strikeout per inning in his career and helped the Rangers to the 2023 World Series title by posting a 1.59 ERA during the Fall Classic.
