Fantasy Impact:
Cowles heads back to the Cubs, who designated him for assignment last September. He spent a few months on the South Side before returning to the North Side. Cowles has yet to appear in a big league game, but spent his first full season in Triple-A last year. Between Iowa (Cubs) and Charlotte (White Sox), Cowles batted .238 last season with nine home runs and 18 stolen bases in 128 games. He can play second, short, or third and is likely ticketed for Iowa to start the 2026 season.
