Colin Rea settles for no-decision Saturday

by David Leisering | Cubs Correspondent | Sat, Jun 20th 11:12pm EDT

Colin Rea went 5.1 scoreless innings on Saturday, allowing only three hits while striking out three in a no-decision against the Blue Jays.

Fantasy Impact:

Rea, arguably, had his best start of the season on Saturday and exited with the Cubs holding a 3-0 lead. However, the bullpen imploded, allowing eight runs in the seventh and eighth innings to cost Rea a victory. It was his first scoreless outing of the season and the three hits he allowed were his fewest since giving up two hits in his first start of the year on April 8 against Cleveland. Rea is 5-5 with a 4.99 ERA and a 59:28 K:BB ratio through 16 appearances (12 starts). He's lined up for a start against the Mets in his next time out on Thursday.
