Chas McCormick signs minor league contract with Cubs

Chas McCormick has signed a minor league deal with the Chicago Cubs. The contract includes an invitation to spring training. (Chandler Rome on X)
Fantasy Impact:
McCormick, a 21st-round pick out of Division II Millersville University in 2017, spent his entire career in the Astros organization. The outfielder had three solid seasons in Houston to begin his career before suffering through two down years in 2024 and 2025. McCormick's 2023 season was especially good as he batted .273 with 22 home runs and 19 stolen bases in 115 games. With the loss of Kyle Tucker, McCormick will have an opportunity to break camp as the Cubs' fourth outfielder with a good spring.
