Pierson Ohl has been designated for assignment by the Minnesota Twins. The move was made to make room for Taylor Rogers on the 40-man roster. (MLB Trade Rumors on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Ohl made his major league debut with Minnesota last season and pitched 14 games (three starts) for the Twins. He ended up with a 5.10 ERA in 30 innings. The 26-year-old righthander has intriguing numbers in the minors, posting a 3.61 ERA in 394 innings across 90 appearances (60 starts). Across three minor league levels last season, Ohl pitched to a 2.40 ERA with 86 strikeouts and just 11 walks in 71.1 innings. He could be an interesting pickup for an organization needing some bullpen depth.
