Fantasy Impact:

Thaiss played 60 total games last season with the White Sox and Rays and batted .218 with one home run and 16 RBI in 190 plate appearances. The veteran catcher has played parts of seven seasons in the big leagues - six of those with the Angels. He is a lifetime .210 hitter with 23 home runs in 961 career plate appearances. While Carlos Narvaez is entrenched as the starting catcher in Boston, Thaiss could compete with Connor Wong for the backup role during the spring as Wong struggled mightily at the plate in 2025.
