Chris Bassitt and the Baltimore Orioles have agreed on a one-year, $18.5 million contract for the 2026 season. Bassitt's deal includes a $3 million signing bonus as well as $500K in incentives if he makes 27 starts. (Jeff Passan on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Bassitt has pitched 11 seasons at the major league level and has put together a solid, under-the-radar career. The righthander went 11-9 with a 3.96 ERA in 31 starts with the Blue Jays last season and has a career ERA of 3.64 with 1,191 strikeouts in 1,278.2 innings. Bassitt, who has pitched with the White Sox, Athletics, Mets, and Blue Jays, joins a Baltimore rotation that has been completely overhauled this offseason. He's good for 30-plus starts with 12-15 wins and a sub-4.00 ERA. You could do worse in the later rounds of upcoming fantasy drafts.
