Michael Conforto has agreed to a deal with the Chicago Cubs. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed. (Jon Heyman on X)

Fantasy Impact:

Conforto struggled last season with the Dodgers as he batted only .199 with 12 home runs and 36 RBI in 486 plate appearances. The 10-year veteran did his best work as a member of the Mets from 2015-21, combining to hit .255 with 132 home runs in nearly 3,000 plate appearances. He was an All-Star in 2017 and belted 88 home runs over a three-year span from 2017-19. He will compete with Chas McCormick for the fourth outfielder spot in Chicago. However, considering Conforto is lefthanded and the Cubs have no projected lefty bats on their bench, he may have the upper hand already.
