Jacob Webb earns six-out save on Friday
by David Leisering | Cubs Correspondent | Fri, May 1st 11:25pm EDT
Jacob Webb pitched two scoreless innings on Friday to earn his first save of the season as the Cubs defeated the Diamondbacks, 6-5.
Fantasy Impact:
Webb allowed only a walk while striking out three as he preserved a one-run lead for his first save since May 12 of last season as a member of the Rangers. Webb has a 4.26 ERA and has allowed 23 baserunners in 12.2 innings. He has never collected more than two saves in a season during his seven-year career, so this shouldn't be a trend moving forward.
