Jared Jones (elbow), who missed all of last season following UCL reconstruction surgery, has looked good in his live batting practice sessions. The goal is for the righthander to return at the one-year mark of his surgery. (Jason Mackey on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Jones underwent surgery on May 21, 2025, and the young righthander was placed on the 60-day IL a couple of weeks ago when the Pirates signed Jose Urquidy. Jones' clock doesn't start until the season opens, so he won't be eligible for reinstatement until late May regardless. He's hoping to be healthy and rejoin the rotation when the 60-day window expires, likely slotting in behind Paul Skenes and Mitch Keller.
