Gonzalez (shoulder) received a PRP injection last month after shoulder inflammation disrupted his offseason program. He is restricted to playing catch and has not participated in other baseball activities. (Christopher Smith)

Fantasy Impact:

Gonzalez said Wednesday he does not anticipate being available for Opening Day. "Honestly, I don't think so," he said when asked about his readiness for the season's start. "At this point, I think the ramp-up would be a little too quick and it'd be a disservice I feel like to myself and the team if I'm not ready to roll and have a good build up." Boston had been hopeful Gonzalez would be available.
