Fantasy Impact:
Gipson-Long is dealing with a left oblique strain early in spring training, but it’s a positive sign that he has already progressed to throwing bullpens. He has a strong chance of avoiding the injured list to start the season. Given the Detroit Tigers’ pitching depth, he is expected to begin the year in the minors after posting a 7.18 ERA and 1.28 WHIP over 31.1 major league innings last season.
