Higashioka (back) hit .241/.291/.403 with 11 home runs and a career-high 47 RBI for Texas last season. He posted 20 walks against 72 strikeouts with 33 runs scored across 327 plate appearances. (Shawn McFarland)
Fantasy Impact:
He is expected to share catching responsibilities with Danny Jansen this season. Manager Skip Schumaker said Friday that a back injury will keep Higashioka out of the lineup through Sunday.
