Seiya Suzuki (knee) to be evaluated by Cubs staff following arrival

The Cubs are awaiting the arrival of outfielder Seiya Suzuki to their camp in Mesa, Arizona, to evaluate the right knee injury he suffered at the World Baseball Classic on Saturday. (Bruce Levine on Twitter)

Suzuki left Saturday's quarterfinal matchup against Venezuela in the first inning after injuring his right knee on a stolen base attempt. The 31-year-old has been sensational since joining the Cubs prior to the 2022 season, hitting .269 with 87 home runs, 36 stolen bases, and an .818 OPS across 532 MLB games.
