Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal tossed six scoreless innings while earning the win in an 8-2 victory over the Padres on Thursday.

The reigning two-time AL Cy Young Award winner was sharp to begin the season, allowing just one unearned run, three hits, and zero walks while punching out six, earning his first win of the season on Opening Day.
