Edward Cabrera (1-0) allowed just one hit and one walk in six shutout innings to earn the victory in his first Cubs' start on Monday against the visiting Angels.
Fantasy Impact:
Cabrera, who came over in the trade with the Marlins in January, allowed just a one-out walk to Yoan Moncada in the top of the second and a one-out single to Nolan Schanuel in the top of the fourth. The righthander struck out five in his six innings and faced just one batter over the minimum. Cabrera is currently lined up to face the Guardians, in Cleveland, on Sunday.
