Justin Verlander shelled in return to Tigers Monday

by Brenton Kemp | Tigers Correspondent | Tue, Mar 31st 7:42am EDT

Tigers right-hander Justin Verlander did not get off to a good start in his return to the team on Monday, allowing five earned runs in just 3 2/3 innings of work.

Fantasy Impact:

Verlander allowed an RBI triple to Corbin Caroll in the first inning as part of a two-run frame before Carroll took him deep for a three-run homer in the second. Verlander finished with just one strikeout and two walks in the losing effort. The 43-year-old got off to a slow start in the 2025 season with the Giants, but was excellent in the season's second half, a brief silver lining for Tigers fans and fantasy managers early in the season.
