Jordan Romano picks up second save of season Tuesday
by David Leisering | Angels Correspondent | Tue, Mar 31st 11:41pm EDT
Jordan Romano retired the final two batters, pitching around a walk in the ninth, to secure his second save of the season as the Angels defeated the Cubs, 2-0.
Fantasy Impact:
Romano has appeared in three games and is 2-for-2 on save opportunities to begin the season, posting a 4:2 K:BB ratio in 2.2 scoreless innings. The righthander is attempting to bounce back from a disastrous season in Philadelphia last year and he's off to a good start. Kirby Yates (knee) has begun playing catch and it remains to be seen if he will take over the closer's role upon his return or not. A lot of that, however, may have to do with how Romano performs over the next several games.
