TJ Rumfield launches two-run homer Sunday
by David Leisering | Rockies Correspondent | Sun, Apr 5th 10:48pm EDT
TJ Rumfield went 1-for-4 with a two-run, first-inning home run to help the Rockies to a 4-1 victory over Philadelphia on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact:
Rumfield took Phillies' starter, Taijuan Walker, deep for his second home run of the season, extending the Colorado lead to 3-0. Rumfield won the Rockies' starting first baseman job with a sensational spring that saw him hit .286 with five home runs and 13 RBI in 64 plate appearances. He has carried that over into his rookie season as he is now hitting .345 (10-for-29) with two home runs and five RBI in nine games. Rumfield has a firm grip on the role at the moment and could easily hit 20 home runs with a solid average in his rookie season. Now is the time to grab him if he is still lingering on the wire.
