Josh Lowe steals first base of season Sunday

by David Leisering | Angels Correspondent | Sun, Apr 5th 11:58pm EDT

Josh Lowe went 0-for-2 with a run scored and a stolen base during the Angels' 8-7, 11-inning, win over the Mariners on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact:

Despite going hitless, Lowe was a menace on Sunday as he drew a walk, was hit by a pitch, and also dropped a sacrifice bunt in the Angels' win. The stolen base, his first of the season, came after he led off the fourth getting plunked by Seattle starter, Luis Castillo, and he later came in to score the Angels' third run of the game. Lowe has been mired in a slump at the plate as he is just 3-for-29 (.103) on the season with a home run and three runs batted in. He is 1-for-21 with 10 strikeouts over the last seven games. Playing time appears safe for right now, but he's going to need to start hitting sooner than later.
