Josh Fleming has contract selected by Blue Jays

by David Leisering | Blue Jays Correspondent | Mon, Apr 6th 4:16pm EDT

Lefthander Josh Fleming had his contract selected by the Toronto Blue Jays and should be available on Monday out of the bullpen. Righthander Austin Voth was designated for assignment in a corresponding move. (Toronto Blue Jays on X)

Fantasy Impact:

Fleming appeared in seven games for the Blue Jays during the spring and pitched to a 4.50 ERA in eight innings. The pitching staff has been taxed and Toronto enters a tough series with the Dodgers beginning Monday, so Fleming was called up as he can provide length out of the pen. The lefthander made his season debut with Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday and threw 57 pitches in 3.2 innings, so he should be stretched out to provide some innings if need be. Fleming has not appeared in a big league game since 2024 and has a career ERA of 4.77 across 254.2 innings. He remains off the fantasy radar.
