Mitch Keller threw six scoreless innings on Wednesday, allowing only three hits and a walk while striking out four in a no-decision against the Padres. San Diego went on to earn an 8-2 win over the Pirates.

Keller (1-0) and San Diego's Michael King were locked in a pitcher's duel on Wednesday as the game was scoreless through six innings. Keller allowed only four baserunners in his outing and needed only 75 pitches to get through six frames. Through three starts, Keller has allowed just two runs on 12 hits in 18 innings while posting an 11:5 K:BB ratio. The righthander will take a 1.00 ERA and a 0.94 WHIP into his next start, which is scheduled for next Tuesday against the Nationals.
