Nico Hoerner went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, two runs scored, and two runs batted in to lift the Cubs to a 6-2 win over the Rays on Wednesday.

Hoerner stayed hot at the plate with three more hits on Wednesday and he set the tone by leading off the game with a home run off of Rays' starter, Joe Boyle. The round tripper was his first of the season. Hoerner added an RBI double in the fifth and a single in the seventh. The second baseman is having a fast start to the season, batting .333 (14-for-42) with eight runs scored, six doubles, a home run, and nine runs batted in. Hoerner also has an 8:6 BB:K ratio and is a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen bases.
