Michael Soroka strikes out 10 in win over Phillies Friday
by David Leisering | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Fri, Apr 10th 10:19pm EDT
Michael Soroka went 5.2 innings and allowed four runs on five hits with two walks and ten strikeouts in Arizona's 5-4 win in Philadelphia on Friday.
Fantasy Impact:
Soroka improved to 3-0 on the young season and struck out ten batters for the second time in three starts. The righthander allowed four runs before recording an out in the bottom of the first inning. But, after allowing a three-run shot to Brandon Marsh, Soroka gave up just two hits over 5.2 innings. The righthander joined Milwaukee's Aaron Ashby as the first three-game winners in the National League and he is now tied for third in the NL with 23 strikeouts. He's tentatively lined up to face the Orioles on Wednesday and, if he's still available in your league, now would be the time to grab him.
