Moises Ballesteros homers Friday in Cubs win

Moises Ballesteros went 2-for-2 with a three-run home run in the first inning to jump start the Cubs to a 12-4 rout of the Mets on Friday.

Ballesteros took Kodai Senga deep for a three-run shot in the bottom of the first as part of a four-run inning. He added a single in the third for his fifth two-hit game of the year, but his fourth in the last five games. Ballesteros was pinch hit for by Matt Shaw to lead off the fifth against Huascar Brazoban. He's currently riding a five-game hitting streak and is 9-for-11 (.818) with two homers and five runs batted in during the streak. Ballesteros has upped his average from .207 to .375 and his OPS from .583 to 1.034.
